~~~{Pincer's POV}~~~
The moments leading up to the first match were tense for me, mostly since I was the opening match. In a way, it was hard to believe that any of this was happening.
But yet, here I stood on one side of the concrete ring while my opponent stood on the opposite side. The blind kid, Toma... And I knew exactly how I would beat him.
"Alright! Remember students, there are two ways to win these matches. Either force your opponent out of the ring, or immobilized them by either Knock Out or other means! Just, no fatal injuries. Okay?" I dont think I really even need to fight that hard on this one... All I need is perfect timing, and some quick reflexes. "On your marks, get set, CLASH!"
As soon as I heard the starting siren and word. I sprinted forward, Toma holding a hand behind him as seemingly a sonic blast shot out from his hand and launched him forward. I had to roll underneath so his body wouldn't collide with mine, but as I did I felt a strong force slam against me as I was sent an extra few feet forward and a couple inches off the ground. Slamming onto it once again as I groaned out.
I quickly recovered and face Toma, exhaling shraply as I rolled my shoulders to kinda shake off some of the pain. I watched his movements closely, trying to find some sort of opening I could use to execute my plan. All I gotta do is get rid of that Visor, and he's put at a massive disadvantage...
Toma put his hand behind his back again, so I quickly sprinted forward since I expected him to be launching himself at me again. Instead, he spun to the side and held his arm out. Blasting me across the face and sending me flying another few feet, I'm kinda glad this kid was holding back because these already are hitting kind of hard. Cant imagine what his full power would be like.
I recovered mid air, rotating myself and holding my hand out as a web shot out from my hand towards Toma and latched onto his leg. Once I landed on my feet, I pulled hard. Yanking Toma's leg out from underneath him and making him slam down on his back, as soon as I saw him land I sprinted forward and slid by him. Grabbing at his face to try and get his Visor but he quickly countered, grabbing my wrist and roling over. Using my leverage to lift me over him and slam me down beside him before he blasted me a few inches away so he could recover.
"R-really! Your gonna try to fucking use a blind kids weakness against him!" He stood up, adjusting his visor so that it was securly on his face again. "You are a real dickhead!"
"If your opponent has a weakness, you use that against them." I looked up at Toma, smirking slightly as I opened up my hand. A web shooting out from my palm and latching onto his visor. "Checkmate."
I held the web tightly and pulled hard, the crowd watched as his visor flew off his face, flinging ovef my shoulder and shattering on the concrete behind me... Well... That definitely wasnt my intention.
"F-fuck!" Frantically, Toma threw his hand up infront of him in my general direction and fired off a blast, though I was easily able to avoid it by rolling to the side. I scrambled to my feet before sprinting towards him, the sound of the crowd was drowning out his ability to hear my movements as he continued to wildly shoot out a few sonic blasts in some directions. Honestly, I was starting to feel a bit bad about this. But it's his fault for not having that Visor on his face a better way.
I used my momentum to jump up and dropkick Toma onto his back, making him slam down hard before I recoverd and fired out webs at his wrists and ankles to hold him down. He struggled to get free, but my webbing was too strong.
"Toma Ishiki is immobilized, Pincer is the winner!" The crowd cheered as sirens blaired to signify my victory, though I didn't revel for too long. I used my nails to cut Toma free and help him to his feet.
"T-thanks... Well played I guess.." He looked in my general direction, he had a rough idea of where I was since I was holding his arm. "C-could you grab my visor?"
"Uh... Slight... Problem, when I yanked it off.. It... Shattered when it hit the concrete." His cataract eyes widened, a look of sadness is them as he spoke.
"My... My parents made me them..."
"I'm sorry... I-i'm sure they could make you anothe-"
"They're dead..." I silenced myself immediately, tightening my grip on his arm for a second to show that I was really sorry. He looked down as he teared up a bit.
"I-I'm so sorry... I'll... I'll help you back to your classes spectator box..." All he did in response was nod. I frowned as guilt really hit me hard as I began to walk him back to his classes side of the stadium and through the door, and up a set of stairs that lead to his classes reserved spot in the stands to watch.
As I entered, the pink haired girl, Sakura stormed up to me and slapped me across the face.
"What the fuck were you thinking! Smashing his fucking visor, seriously?!"
"I-I didn't mean to..."
"Oh yeah, totally." She was about to go on when Toma pressed his hand on her shoulder, trying his best to look at her.
"S-Sakura... Its okay... He didnt mean it... Please just help me to my seat..." Sakura stared at Toma, Toma had tears running down his face. Sakura soon let out a soft sigh, nodding slightly before taking Toma's hand in her own and walking him over to two empty seats by a blue haired kid.
I stood there for a few seconds, slowly reaching my hand up to my cheek. It was still stinging and was pretty red, I rubbed it slightly to try and help the pain go away before slowly making my way out from their stands and back across the field to our own. I'm a real dickhead...
