Before I had much time to think about it, the night had come. I was nervously getting ready in my bedroom at my mom's new place. It was the weekend and I went to her place to sort of repair our relationship, it thankfully went well. She understood why I reacted the way I did and wasn't too upset with me.

As per usual, I couldn't get my damn tie figured out. I never had a job interview so I wasn't used to dressing up nice like this, on top of that I usually had the school tie off on my uniform. My outfit was currently some cream colored slacks with a black dress shirt. The tie I was wearing being yellow, some may think I would die if I'm not wearing some type of yellow item with how often I wear the color. I made my way downstairs and ducked into the kitchen, my mom was in there getting her own dinner prepped.

"Mom, could you help me with my tie?" She glanced over her shoulder at me, a faint smile on her face as she came over and started to do it for me.

"You still haven't figured this out? You're just like your fath... Step-Father, here. Watch what I do." I nodded before glancing downwards as she took hold of the ends, taking it slow so I could watch each step as she tied it into a standard windsor knot. "There, now you're all ready for your dinner... Nervous?"

"A little... But I think things will be fine, I do have a good reputation after all." She would chuckle softly at my reputation comment, giving a quick moment to straighten out my hair so it wasn't so messy. It was starting to get back to its original length, which I was glad for. She paused for a moment as her gaze locked onto the barely faded scar on my neck, letting out a soft sigh.

"I can't believe how much you've grown... In it's own screwed up way, these scars kinda signify that."

"Yeah... but I don't think I hate them as much anymore, who cares right? Besides, gives me a cool and mysterious factor to my aura." I did a weird childish gesture with my hands, which she couldn't help but laugh at before pulling me into a warm hug that I embraced. "I love you mom..."

"I love you too sweetie." After a few more moments of hugging, the doorbell was soon rung. We both turned our gazes to the door before she straightened out my shirt a little. "And there's your date, have a good night. And don't forget to see if he wants to have dinner here at some point."

"I won't." I smiled at her before heading to the door, opening up and greeting Suraki with a smile. "Hey hun, i'm ready to go."

"Great, come on. I have the car parked out front."

"You drive?"

"Yeah?" He chuckled softly before I stepped out, shutting the door behind me and making sure it was locked from the other side before heading out to the parking area and hopping into Suraki's car. It was kinda fancy, not in the sense that it looked regal or high class. But in the sense that it had a really clean interior. Both literally and figuratively, I think it was a Mercedes.

After Suraki had gotten in the car, he turned the ignition key for it to start up before driving to his home in the higher end neighborhoods of the city. I watched the houses as we passed by, all of them having variations of their own upscale styles but overall had the same feel to them, eventually we reached the end of the road and pulled into Suraki's driveway. Once he parked, I stepped out of the car and took a brief moment to stretch while gazing up at his home.

"Wow... This place is really big..."

"Heh, yeah. You should see the inside." He would chuckle softly before walking with me up to the front door, taking his keys out and unlocking the door before stepping inside. "I'm home! Enji you better not be screwing with my stuff again."
