Two years earlier

The bell for class to be over rang, many students funneled out of the classrooms to fill the hallway. It was the end of the day and the start of summer break. I rushed to my locker, excited to go home and properly relax without needing to stress about projects or assignments being due. I quickly opened my locker, starting to throw all of my things into my locker. My locker was almost completely empty when I felt a tight hold on the back of my shirt and a familiar voice speak.

"Guess who, ink boy!" I heard a couple of laughs from his friends, I saw his head lean into view. He had short red hair and yellow eyes... It was Yurin, my bully since the start of middle school.

"Y-Yurin... please lay off, i-it's the end of the year."

"So? Me and my friends just wanna hang out before we don't get to see each other."

"I-I'm good, I just wanna-"

"Wanna what? Go home and get dressed up nice and pretty so you can whore yourself out?" I looked over my shoulder at one of Yurin's friends who said that. He had long orange hair that he had spiked up, people around school always called him Blaze. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Yurin himself look at Blaze with a bit of a confused face, he wasn't sure where that came from.

"W-what?" I asked in pure confusion, Blaze chuckling and shaking his head.

"Come on Nosido, you really thought no one was gonna figure out that your a fag?" I felt my heart drop into my gut, I stared at him in shock of what he said.

"H-How..."

"You really don't do a good job of hiding it, the way you act kinda gives that fact away..." Blaze stepped forward to me, patting me on the back before leaning in uncomfortably close. "So... What did you say about hanging out with us again?" I gulped slightly, looking at Blaze with a hint of fear.

"I-I'll hang out with you guys..."

"Good." Blaze stood upright again, looking at Yurin. "Gotta step up your game man." Yurin still had a bit of a confused on his face before he shook his head.

"Hurry up and get your crap ink boy, we don't wanna wait longer than we have to." With that, Yurin let go of my shirt, walking with the rest of his friends as they waited by the front doors of the school. I stood there, processing things in my head as I tried to not have a breakdown right there. Slowly and shakily I closed my locker door, taking the lock with me and tucking it into my sleeve. I might need this... Hesitantly, I walked over to Yurin and his friends. Blaze had his head tilted back as he watched me walk over.

"Aww come on Heraki, don't be so afraid. We're pals aren't we? I'm only joking."

"R-Right..." I didn't make eye contact with any of them, I hung my head low and only spoke when spoken too. Blaze led everyone out of the school and through the street, we walked for awhile until we reached an old bridge on a closed road. The road had been closed for a few years and I could tell Blaze and his friends came to hang out here often, the two other guys sat on the rail while Blaze stood by me. Yurin was by the other two.

"So! How have you been lately Nosido, hm?" Blaze put his hand on the top of my head, making me look up at him. I was pretty nervous at this point, almost visibly shaking.

"I-I've been... G-good."

"That's great to hear..." I watched as a slight smirk spread across Blaze's face. "Hey, I have an idea, since we're all here. Why don't we get some practice with our quirks, hmm?" The other two nodded while Yurin stood and watched with his arms crossed. Suddenly, I felt Blaze's other hand smash against my face, holding it there as a bright white flash went off in my face and a loud bang was heard. I screamed out, deafened by the sound and completely blinded by the flash. He let go of my face as I stepped back, covering my eyes as I tried to rub them to see if that would help anything. By the time my eyes cleared up, I saw one of the others walk up to me. They activated their quirk as an orange flame engulfed their foot. They then kicked me hard in the gut, making me lurch over in pain. The shirt of the school uniform now had a large burn hole where he kicked, the same went for my t-shirt. There was also a slight burn on my body, before I could react. I felt a hard impact with my chin as my head was thrown back, I was just uppercut by the same guy.
