The bridge that we needed to cross came sooner than expected. Before I really had time to get composure after that fight, I already saw all sorts of news on social media about the connection between Hitoshi Shinso and I, some were disproving the claim altogether. While others were going nuts about how I supposedly confirmed the claim outright. I tried to do my best to ignore it, but it was getting harder to deal with. Especially when it was starting to invade my personal life on the weekends, most of the time when I went out now. I could spot a reporter or two tailing me to try and get more information, so now I had to deal with trying to lose them or hide from them with my still recovering body. And let me tell you now, it was pretty damn annoying.

So much so, I've been trying to use disguises when out and about. Mostly just a different outfit than normal so I wouldn't get spotted as easily. My typical incognito outfit was a black baseball cap to conceal my hair, a face mask like doctors wear. Sunglasses, and a dark blue hoodie and jeans. It worked for a while, but I eventually had to start changing it up once the media caught on to my typical patterns when out for the day. I guess this is how movie stars feel, though of course it's even worse since they get mobbed by loads of reporters at a time.

I was out on a date with Suraki, we went to an ice cream shop over in Hosu since I wanted to get away from the reporters around my house. Which Suraki was perfectly fine with, he understood my stress right now. We sat at a two person table near one of the windows, I had a milkshake while he had a sundae in front of him.

"Let me tell you now hun, don't get into drama. And if you do, don't let it get into the public eye." Suraki let out a soft chuckle, shaking his head before taking a bite of his sundae.

"I can only imagine what you've been dealing with... Have you seen anything on if they've been trying to talk to Hitoshi?"

"They have... And from what I've seen in videos, he's pissed."

"That's not good..."

"I know right? I just can't help but wonder how that woman even found out about it... Someone had to have said something."

"Or maybe they just saw the similarities between you and Satsuo?"

"Doubtful, something like that wouldn't be asked by a reporter. I've learned some about how they act, they don't usually ask things that are based on internet theories. They have to have someone explicitly say it to them to get them hooked..." Suraki nodded, taking a glance down at his sundae while tapping the edge of the cup lightly with his spoon.

"Well... I don't know anyone in our friend group who would talk, maybe Zota would slip up. But he wouldn't go straight to a news station and tell them..." I nodded in agreement, it really didn't make sense. Even though most of our class knew, I don't think anyone would have even cared enough to go out and tell someone... Unless...

"Satsuo doesn't like his dad all that much... And... He did try to get me to do something about his dad's denial of us being related before... He wanted me to have my hair styled like Hitoshi's at the sports festival. Maybe he went out and told someone so he could get his dad pissed off..." As much as that made sense, I kinda hoped that wasn't the case. I trusted Satsuo, and he said he would leave this be... But I guess anyone's minds can be changed.

"That makes the most sense to me, so I would maybe talk to him about it... Anyways, how about you spend the night at my place? So you can get out of the limelight a little bit."

"Sure, that sounds nice." I smiled at Suraki before he finished up his sundae. The milkshake was in a to go cup, so I brought it out with me to the car as we drove our way from Hosu to Suraki's house.

"No one's home right now, my dad got called to the agency for something and my mom is out buying groceries." I nodded at him while we pulled into his driveway, after he parked. We got out of the car and made our way inside. Spending most of the time in his room relaxing and watching tv.

After a few hours, we got back in his car so he could drop me off at home. I had my gaze out the window most of the time, and as we passed by a movie theatre. Something caught my eye.

"Stop the car!" At that command, Suraki slammed down on the breaks, causing us to jolt forward for a brief moment before the car settled. I stared across the street towards the movie theatre, a mob of reporters were outside in, and Hitoshi was there in the center.

"What is it?"

"It's Hitoshi... Hun, park up by the movie theatre." He stared at me for a few seconds before nodding, parking by the movie theatre as I quickly unbuckled and got out of the car. Making my way towards the mob of reporters.

"N-Nosido, what are you doing?" I ignored Suraki's question, causing him to follow behind me as I took off my hat and sunglasses. Taking off my face mask as well. "Nosido, are you sure you wanna go over there?"

"I have to deal with this at some point, may was well be now." With that, I whistled. Getting some of the reporters' attention, along with Hitoshi's. I shivered a bit from the gaze he casted in my direction with his eyes. Our gazes meeting before I parted through the crowd to be at his side looking up at him.

"You had to go and say something kid..."

"I didn't say anything to them... but either way, we have to handle this now... We tell the truth, okay?" We were talking quietly enough so the reporters couldn't quite hear us, he stared at me for a few moments before letting out a low sigh and nodding.

"Fine... But we're talking once this shit is over." With that, we turned to the reporters. Hitoshi kept a firm stance while I started to sorta 'turtle up' a bit. Crossing my arms and tucking my head in my shoulders just a bit from nervousness. "Look... We know the theories that have been swirling around and the questions you've been mobbing us with... So... Yes, Nosido is an Illegitimate child of mine..."

The reporters went nuts, starting to throw even more questions out at either of us that we tried to answer to the best of our abilities. After what felt like hours of questions when it was really only minutes, Hitsohi began to gesture for them to back off as the two of us parted through the crowd, Suraki following as he led us back to the car.

"I'm starting to learn that I hate news reporters.."

"Agreed." Hitoshi chuckled softly before we stopped beside Suraki's car, he looked down at me while I leaned against the passenger side door. "You do know that the drama from this isn't over, now that we confirmed it. It's just gonna get worse, maybe not for you but definitely for me."

"I'd rather have this part of it done with and get things moving along faster..." Hitoshi had a tired look to him, along with a tired voice. Though from what I could understand, he was always like that. Something that he got from his dad I would assume. "Well... This is where we part ways again I assume." He gave me a long stare, I could tell he was lost in his thoughts before he looked away from me, speaking softly.

"Maybe... For now, yes. But... I'm reconsidering how I'm treating this situation now." I was a little surprised to hear that, giving a look over my shoulder at Suraki. He simply shrugged at me when my gaze met him. "Either way, you had guts for doing that kid... Make sure to keep them, not many people can stand up like that."

After a few moments of awkward silence, Hitoshi sighed softly and walked off. I got back into the passenger seat and shut the door, letting out a soft groan.

"Sorry about making you stop the car like that..."

"It's fine hun, you had good reason. Let's get you home already so you can relax." I looked to my side at Suraki, smiling gently and nodding. Laying my head back against the head of the seat as he started up the car and got back onto the road.
