I tuned out everything around me as we walked to the locker rooms to get changed. Hundreds of thoughts raced through my mind, I knew people were talking amongst each other about that news from a minute ago. But I didn't even care now. I was going over the scenarios in my head of about every way possible Bakugou could kill me in this training session, I know he doesn't like Shoto all that much.
I stood at the door to my locker, pulling my shirt up and over my head as I let out a loud groan. Leaning my head back and rubbing my temples.
"I am so fucked... I just got practically challenged by Bakugou..."
"Did Tomura give you those scars?" I glanced to my left at Akane, he was pulling the pants up on his hero costume and looking at the faint but still seeable scars on my body. I nodded slightly and sighed.
"It was the day of our first meeting if I remember correctly..."
"Sadistic dickhead... that's what he is." Akane shook his head, pulling the top of his hero costume out from the case he had set on the bench in the locker room.
"Yeah... But someone told me a few days ago that I shouldn't hate them... They show I'm a survivor."
"God that's cheesy." I chuckled loudly, shaking my head.
"Yeah... it kinda is, but they're right." I looked over at Zota, he was talking with Kazu beside him at his locker. "But I appreciate the support a lot..." I stared at Zota for a few moments before turning and tossing my shirt into the locker and grabbing the shorts of my outfit from my case. "Hey, I'm thinking of upgrades for my costume. How does track pants or something instead of shorts sound?"
"Dumb either way." I rolled my eyes, looking at Akane with a please-be-serious face. He chuckled softly and leaned his head back in thought while zipping up his top. "Well... Shorts to keep the style consistent... But maybe get some specially designed by the RnD team instead of just shit from home."
"Probably a good idea... I should think of gadgets too..."
"Yeah... Oh, maybe try gauntlets too so your forearms can take some hits." I nodded, glancing over at Akane to look at his costume. He was wearing a dark blue school boys' outfit with the sleeves torn up towards the end, the collar was also a bit ripped. He had some punk style bracelets and a pair of fingerless black gloves. Instead of normal school pants though, he wore black cargo pants that looked worn out.
"Weren't you just talking about how my costume looks like shit from home?" I snickered, shaking my head. "In all seriousness though, I like the costume style."
"Thanks, I thought it would be kinda interesting to wear this while taking out bad guys." I nodded, pulling up the shorts on my costume and then grabbing my hoodie from the case and holding it out in front of me to get a good look at it.
"I'm gonna invert the colors... White primary and black secondary would look better, also maybe make this more form fitting?" I glanced over the hoodie at Akane and he just shrugged.
"Beats me, whatever you wanna try man." I nodded, pulling the hoodie over my head. I then grabbed my knee pads and elbow pads and fastened them on before walking out of the locker room with my shoes to put them on right outside the door. More of my classmates followed suit behind me until everyone was outside of the locker rooms and ready to go. Bakugou was waiting for us dressed in full hero costume. Grenadier gauntlets and all.
We were then funneled out to a bus we were taking most likely to the training grounds. Bakugou was up at the front sitting in the seat behind the driver, seemingly texting someone on his phone while occasionally glancing at me. He was probably talking to Todoroki-Sensei. After fifteen minutes or so we arrived at the training grounds and all funneled out of the bus, feeling a firm grip on my shoulder as I looked up to see Bakugou holding it. Looking at the rest of the class.
