The wind blew, I was standing on the edge of a rooftop. The sky was black, the clouds a misty purple. To my right was Shigaraki and the league, to the left was Todoroki, Bakugou, and Deku. Behind them the rest of my friends. Soon, Todoroki and Shigaraki turned to face me. Resting their hands on my shoulders, though not acknowledging either of them were there. Only acknowledging me.
"What's going on?" Neither of them responded, both of their gazes fixated on me. Soon feeling a presence behind me, they both turned me around. There stood myself... or more so, my twisted and red eyed opposite. The environment around us all turned to black, a crazy grin forming on his face as he raised a hand. My body is mirroring his movement. Shigaraki soon appeared over his shoulder... My shoulder, speaking out to me.
"The crossroads is slowly drawing to you, Nosido... Soon your life will split in half. And you will have to pick sides. One mentor or the other, one life or the other... One becomes the past, the other a future. You may think you can run from it, but it's inevitable. A choice will be made that will decide the fate of this world, this rotten society... You can let it mold you, or you can break it... You could create a truly brighter future, or you could continue the cycle of hero versus villain. Good versus evil."
"What do you mean? You and your league want to destroy the world."
"Only to fix it... Not all problems can be solved by the heroes, no one sees that." The other version of me soon disappeared. Shigaraki slowly stalked towards me, causing me to take a step back when I felt the surface behind me disappear, nearly falling off of the rooftop we were now once again on. But Shigaraki had me held tightly by my shirt, taking his mask off his face with his free hand. "You still fail to see the true path you need to take, and it's sad that you can't. All the heroes do is breed more division in our world."
"I'll never help you... Even if you have me brainwashed, I'll break free of it! I'll never be a villain like you!" I smirk formed on his face, before he let out a soft chuckle. Leaning his head back.
"You remind me of who I was once... I used to think you could rely on heroes to solve all problems... But the day you break... No one will be there to help put you back together... No one but me, just as my master did for me." He loosened his grip on my shirt, causing me to gasp out and grab hold of his arm to stay up. He lowered his head, matching his gaze with mine. "All For One... You may have heard that name before... He showed me my true path, and I will do the same for you..."
He let go, my grip loosening before I began to plummet down to the street below. I tried to use my quirk, but nothing happened. Screaming out in fear as the ground inched closer and closer, until finally.
I jolted awake in bed, shooting up and frantically looking around. Breathing heavily and sweating, it was dark. Out the window I could see the moon in the sky, and on my nightstand there was a plate of food next to my phone. My heart was racing as I tried to gain my composure, reaching a shaky hand up to run it through my hair.
"What... What the fuck was that?" That's all I could get out before I closed my eyes, taking deep breaths and slowly calming myself down. Soon, I swung my legs over the edge of my bed and got up, heading to my closet and grabbing my Deku hoodie. I slipped it on and zipped it up snug, this hoodie was something my mom got me. I pulled up the hood as well, lightly tugging on the ears of it before rolling onto my back. "Definitely not sleeping after that..." I shook my head, sitting up and grabbing the plate of food to start eating slowly. Picking up my phone to text Zota.
-Hey... Are you awake? I had a really bad dream...- It took maybe ten minutes or so, but he eventually responded.
-I am now, wanna do a video call?-
