Ito na po ang huling kabanata ng Bay of Strangers. Maraming salamat sa walang sawang pagsuporta sa akin! Sa lahat ng oras at panahon na binuhos niyo para basahin ang akdang 'to. Salamat, palagi!

I wrote this book-hoping that I'll be able to exercise my freedom of speech and expression. I am a very opinionated woman and I hate it when I can't express my thoughts, so thank you for allowing me to share this with you. I hope that the ups&downs of this story have help you in one way or another. I hope that when you think of me, or this book-you'll see a story that's worth reading, and worth sharing. We may have different views and perspective in the things that are tackled here, but I do hope that we'll respect everyone opinion there is. Be kinder and gentler, but with right amount of criticism.

Growing up, I disliked politics so much. I don't like how dirty and violent it is, but I realized that I/we cannot run from it because it is part of our society, and our lives. So please, don't run away from it. You have the rights, don't let them take it from you. I hope I am clear that I do not devote my time for politicians, and I hope you don't too.

Again, thank you so much! I will forever be grateful to each and everyone of you. Please keep safe and healthy!

Sapphire

We landed in Mactan at exactly 8 pm. Sinalubong kami ng malamig na simoy ng hangin, mga makikinang na ilaw ng siyudad, at sa malayo'y natanaw ko ang iilang naglalakihang building. Luminga ako sa paligid, hawak-hawak ni River ang kamay ko at huminto kami sa gilid ng curb, tinitignan ang iilang civilian bodyguards na nakahanda para sa amin at sinalubong pa kami.

May ilang kumuha ng maleta namin. Isang simpleng tango at senyas ang ginawa ni River. Inikot niya ako, in a swift movement, he hugged me from the back.

Natawa ako, lalo pa nang maramdaman ang mainit na hininga niya sa aking tainga.

"Welcome to my hometown, Kamalei." He whispered, hugging me from the back.

"Thanks for bringing me here,"

"Of course," He kissed my ear lobe.

Wala na akong pakialam kung sabihin na PDA kami masyado. This is my fiance! Can you believe it... I am engaged to River Osvaldo Gaisano...

Wala pa ang singsing dahil sabi niya'y pinagawa niya pa 'yon pero maghihintay ako... I know it will be worth the wait.

Iginaya kami ng mga bodyguards sa hilera ng mga SUVs. Halos pitong sasakyan ang naroon, marahil ay escort din namin. Of course, Lei. This is River Gaisano! He's the oldest son of Mariano Gaisano! His father really would have prepared an entourage!

Kanina, bago kami umalis sa penthouse... Naalala ko pa kung ano lang ang ginawa namin! We spent the whole night in each other's arm... Nagpapahinga sandali pero bumabalik din. Kaya naman alas diyez ng umaga na ako nagising! That's so late for me. Pero siya, nakaya pa ring gumising ng maaga. Then after we had brunch... Umulit na naman kami.
