A week later:

No one had spoken to JJ. Everyone had refused to talk to him. Even Simon and Talia walked past him in the hallways without exchanging words. They were angry at JJ. Furious even. What he had done was unforgivable and disgusting.

On top of everything, his family had wanted to visit. Last night JJ had received a text from his mother inviting herself round to his house. JJ had lost motivation to do anything. He hadn't showered, his hair was disgusting, his body smelt like absolute shit as did the apartment. He hadn't even bothered drawing the curtains for the past week.

Hadiyeh's POV:

Hadiyeh on the other hand was living her best life, after her breakdown, she had reminded herself that she is the baddest bitch in town and that life will move on, with or without JJ. She knew that she and JJ would have to sort things out and have to eventually talk to each other but she'd rather not think about that right now.

So the first thing she does is have a girls night. An essential to dealing with cheating guys was to have a girls night. So, Hadiyeh, Gee, Freya, Talia and Saeedeh were all gathered in her hotel suite as Tobi had generously offered to babysit (either that or Saeedeh had convinced him into babysitting).

"I want to die my hair," Hadiyeh had stated out of the blue.

She and Freya were painting their nails as Gee, Talia and Saeedeh were talking shit about the girl that Saeedeh had seen trying flirting with Tobi.

"JJ always loved your hair." Freya muses.

"Exactly." She smirked picking up her nicotine-free strawberry vape.

"Go for it." Talia squealed jumping to pick up the vogue magazine lying on Hadiyeh's coffee table.

"Pink or blue?" Freya asked looking over Talia's shoulder, waving her hands waiting for the nail varnish to dry.

"Blue, then we can match!" Gee cheered.

"I'm going to the salon tomorrow to get my fringe sorted out, we can go together!" Talia offered.

"Hads!" Saeedeh pulled the vape out of her hands, "Have you gone mad, green hair?!"

"And what?" Gee had but in, her hair was bright blue, she had a right to get a bit defensive.

"Yeah your right, maybe not green, it reminds me of mould, maybe pink? Or purple?" Hadiyeh mused childishly, snatching her vape back.

"No one can see your hair anyway, it's always under your hijab." Saeedeh snapped

"Okay and? Pink would look cute," Hadiyeh knew that she was doing this out of spite, but maybe that's what she needed to reconstruct her life.

"Whatever." Saeedeh sighed, she knew talking to Hadiyeh when she was like this would be useless. She had always been hot-headed and stubborn.

"Saeedeh, have you brought the henna? I want to match my new hair with the henna," Hadiyeh giggled. She felt ecstatic, maybe if she and JJ never got married this would be her life. She would have fun with her friends every night and eat out all the time, never having to rearrange her schedule to fit his, never having to wait up for him, maybe this was the life she deserved.

Her thoughts came crashing down when she saw Talia's phone ding.

Instagram: GRACEY is going live, press to join now!

"Saeedeh, pass me your phone," Hadiyeh commanded, semi-politely.

"Why?" Saeedeh asked suspiciously but unlocked her phone and handed it to Hadiyeh, she went straight to GRACEY's Instagram page, joining the live stream.

"Because you're the only one here without a blue tick on your Instagram account."

"So guys, I just wanted to hop onto here to clear up a few of the pictures you guys saw of JJ and me in front of the studio..." Gracey's voice came from behind the screen as the girls all hurdled around Saeedeh's phone wanting to hear about what she had to say.

JJ's POV:

JJ and his mother were sat in the living room, he had his head resting on the table between his arms as his mother went on about how messy the house was.

"Get up JJ, go shower, you smell." His mother scolded as she rearranged the cushions on the couch, she had already cleaned up the mess that her son had made around the house. JJ cringed, Hadiyeh hated putting the purple cushion against the pink one, she always said they're too similar to be placed next to each other.

"Why? Who am I trying to impress? the girl I love is gone!"

"She will come back, she will always come back, look at yourself, you're made out of money, when her money finishes she's going to have to come back." His mother rolled her eyes.

"SHE doesn't want me for my money, Hadiyeh makes more than me anyway!"

"Okay, she'll come running back when she needs for you to pay child support for a child that is not even yours."

"That child has a name, Jannah."

"Whatever." She kissed her teeth, "She only pushed for adoption because she's infertile, JJ, use your head! She's only using you! Now that she's gone, you can use this to find someone else, find someone who doesn't treat you like you're their dog!"

"Get out of my house." JJ clenched his jaw. He understood that the woman saying this was his mother, but her words were unforgivable and stupid.

"But I'm your mother-"

"When you kicked me out on Christmas, were you not my mother then?" He demanded her for an answer, knowing she didn't have one, "When you chose to believe Deji's lies, were you not my mother? When I begged for you to come to my wedding, were you not my mother?"

"JJ-"

"Get out." His voice was grave and his tone hard.
