The road was empty but this wasn't unusual as it was a back road that linked to the church.

Plus it was quicker walking that way than going to the main road and spending money on bike.

Suddenly she felt goosebumps. Not wanted to know why she pretended to take a call and ran like she was being chased. Even when she got to church she didn't turn back to find out why.

The window came down to reveal one of her military customers.

'Okay come in, I'm heading there myself. Hope there's fish now?',

'Yes sir, mummy went to market this morning', they both entered the car and he drove off.

'Give a minute I have a small errand to run it shouldn't take time', he said while turning off into a street.

At a gate he horned and the gate opened to reveal a shirtless and sweating Daniel.

'One minute', was all the man said before stepping out and talking to Daniel who's eyes only flicked to the man once in acknowledgement. He didn't look away from Esther.

Esther wasn't faring any better, her eyes were stuck on him as well.

A pinch from Shola snapped her out of her stupor.

'Good evening, give me a little time to empty the booth then you'll be good to go', he left but not without brushing his hand against Esther's cheek.

As soon as he left Shola began fanning Esther with her hands and blowing her breeze with her mouth.

'Thank God for melanin o, omoooooo you for don turn tomatoes. See na e de even still show!!!, She continued what she doing and was laughing as Esther tried to swat her hands away.

'Shola stop na!!',

'Shhh, nur spoil the Grammer na. En go soon come back!', Shola mocked and true to her words the driver's door opened and instead of the mopol it was Daniel that entered.

'So, home or shop?',

'Home', Shola spoke up before Esther could say anything.

Daniel laughed as he found Shola extremely entertaining.

'What about you Esther?',he asked as he reversed the car out of the compound.

'Shop',

'Okay, we'll go to the shop first so I can buy what Uncle Clement wants then I'll drop you off Shola',

'My house is closer than the shop if we follow Aguru street', she said after looking at her watch.

'Okay, your house first then the shop',

After dropping off Shola he reversed and returned to the express which indicated to Esther that they were going to take the long way home.

'What are you planning Snr Daniel?!!', she kept her thoughts to herself, promising to murder her best friend later for abandoning her.

Her parents were not even in the same state as she was!!!
