Two weeks after the whole deal everywhere was calm, well as calm as their school could be.
She was finally cleared by her mum to resume dance practice. With her bag packed she headed to the hall they usually used in school for the practice.
Soon as she changed, Tobe helped her catch up on the routines and she was back on track.
When they finished she just laid on a table nearby. Tobe soon joined her on the table.
'Abeg comot body, I don tire finish', she made enough room for him to lay beside her. She could share his sentiment, she was too tired.
A vibration caught her attention and she pulled out her mum's phone that she'd claimed as hers. It was Shola calling.
'Yolo!',
'Baaaabbbeeee!!', Esther immediately shot off the table for the gist that was coming.
'Oya de download am!',
'You still de school baa? I de class, show show show', she hopped off the table, picked her bag and walked straight to the classroom.
'As e de hot as e de hot!', she shouted as she entered the class.
Shola simply showed her a note she found sticking on her desk.
I'm sorry
'From who?',
'Jubams!! I just saw it Sha, bia ka anyi laba', Shola pulled her towards the door.
As they walked out the laughed at lame jokes, Esther handed her bag to Shola to pull a sweat shirt over her dance outfit.
'You need to see what Sister Amara did to him, the beating of his life! Omo guy don get respect by force!',
'No na, en de see woman de think say en get power. She for use something comot en ear join. Mumu boyfriend',
'You de mind d idiot, anyway na so dt matter take cast. Me laidis, nobody fit use me play o. You do anyhow you see anyhow!',
They talked till they got to the junction to split off to their homes.
Kech had followed them at a distance, as he quickened his steps to catch up to Esther the Hilux drove by him. Perishing whatever idea he was having.
Esther smiled at the driver, greeted him and pointed to her house. The driver drove at a sedate pace till Esther got home.
To corner her was becoming too difficult for his liking. He had a message to deliver to Daniel, the most effective way would be through his girlfriend.

As soon as he walked into the class Esther recognized him. Why was he walking towards her?
'I want to talk to you, outside', was all he said before leaving the class. Esther with widened eyes faced Shola.
'I'll run and call Snr Daniel, stall as much as you can. Don't follow him anywhere far', she stood up, used a window and left the class. She hit the ground running to the seniors block.
'Yes Senior',
'My name is Samson, I just wanted to apologize for the wahala I caused you. E nur make sense, I go reason my class people too. They will stop bothering you', he said looking at her.
'Em okay senior, I've already forgotten about it',
'Are you sure? Oya, wetin I fit buy for you?',
'Argh, notin o. I don't want anything',
'you sure? Take', he gave her the chewing gum in his hand.
'Senior don't worry, it's fine. Really',
'Okay, just wanted to clear it with you. And if you need anything, any day, any time. Come to SS2C and ask for me. Oya go back to class'.
He waited for her to go back and then turned to almost walk in Daniel. Shola had smartly returned to the class through the window.
'Good afternoon senior', Samson greeted.
'Have you done it?',
'Yes senior, I've apologized and she has forgiven me'
'Alright, you can go'. Samson left without a word.
He'd been scared when Daniel had sent for him the previous week, thinking it was for another round of punishments.
'Sit, let's talk'.
He was too scared to move.
'I won't ask again, sit', he quickly did as he was told.
'The reason I called you here is quite a simple one. But I'll start with a question, why did you do what you did to Esther? And you must give me an answer', he leveled a look at Samson.
'Um um senior, um there was no reason',
'So you just saw someone and figured to make her fall and possibly injure herself was fun?'
He looked to the floor. He couldn't tell him that it was a dare from his class mates to make the first girl he saw after assembly fall.
'Not fun senior, it just happened'.
'Okay, your answers still don't make any sense. Now, your classmates have been picking on the girl. And I personally do not like it. Find a way to get them to leave her alone. I don't know how you're going to do it, but you'll get them to leave her alone. Let's not start something that won't end well for you guys',
'Yes senior', he'd left shortly when the idea to apologize to the said girl came in.
As for his classmates, he'd simply asked them to back off. Especially the girls.
Hopefully it all worked out, meanwhile he was yet to see that girl that gave him a punch. The girl hand strong o.
