Chapter 27

Lexi's POV

Colton and I were currently sitting in the living room of my house watching The Vow. We weren't actually watching the movie. We were just cuddling on the couch, enjoying being in each others arms.

It had been about an hour and a half since we returned from the hospital. Turns out I have a really badly sprained wrist, so I had to take it easy for about one or two weeks.

"Does it hurt?" my boyfriend asked me, pointing to my wrist.

"A little.."I said, and he squeezed his eyes shut like he was in pain.

"I'm so sorry Lex.."he apologised for the millionth time.

"It's okay..you have nothing to apologise for.."I said softly.

He shook his head and got up from the couch and walked to the window.

"It's not okay, princess...if I wouldn't had left you here alone, none of this would have happened. My girlfreind wouldn't be in pain right now."

I walked up to him and wrapped my good arm around his waist and rested my head on his chest.

"Stop it...please...I'm alright..Can we please just forget it?"I asked him.

He nodded and then lifted my chin up so that he could kiss me.

"You know, I was thinking that maybe we could go out tomorrow."He said after we pulled away.

"Out?"I asked.

"Yeah...maybe we could go on an old fashioned, dinner then movie kinda date...what do you think?" he said, smiling.

"Sure.."I said and went on my tip toes to plant a kiss on his cheek.

"I should get going.."he said, checking the time on his phone.

Although I didn't want him to leave, I nodded. He kissed me on the lips and then rested his forehead against mine.

"Be safe, princess..I can't lose you.."I felt my heart swell.

"I love you, Colton."I said as I hugged him.

"I love you, baby."he said and then left.

I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing.

"Hello?" I said.

"Wakey, wakey Lexi!!" I heard my best friend sing on the other side.

"What do you want Crys?"I groaned.

"Wake up, missy! I'm coming over in ten." she said and hung up before I could say anything.

Ugh! I got out of bed and walked straight into my en suite.

I finished showering, and went downstairs for breakfast.

"Morning, Jake."I said.

"Morning,sis." he said and kissed me on the cheek.

"Crystal's coming over today."I told him as I ate my cereal.

"Okay..I was going to ask you to call someone anyway, I am going out with Haley today."he said.

"You should bring her over sometimes. I miss talking to her."I said.

"Haha okay."

Jake stood up to go and open the door when the doorbell rang. Quickly I finished my breakfast and placed my bowl in the sink.

"Hey Crystal." I heard Jake say and Crystal replied just as I entered the living room.

"Hey Crys..." I greeted her.
