Lexi's POV
After that day, I was not allowed to go anywhere alone. It was starting to get a little annoying. It was always - 'Where are you going?' , ' I'll give you a ride!' , etc, etc.
I know they were just worried about me and cared for me, but I was getting sick and tired of the over-protectiveness.
The same thing had happened again today, Colton and I planned to meet at his place and as soon as I told Jake about it, he jumped up and offered a ride. Scratch that - he didn't exactly offer, he just told me straight that he was driving me there. But something came up and he had to rush to work. So I was told to wait at home, till Colton himself came to pick me up. Stupidity. I tried to tell both the boys that whatever they were doing didn't make sense at all. I tried telling them a million times, but they didn't budge.
There was a knock on the door, I knew it was Colton, so I grabbed my keys and walked out. As always, my boyfriend opened my door and helped me in before going over to the driver's side and getting in.
"Hi princess" he said, smiling crookedly, why did he have to be so gorgeous?!
"Hey lover boy" I said, blushing.
"So, I was thinking that maybe we could go to the beach or something. What do you think?" he asked.
"The beach sounds perfect."I said.
The drive to the beach was silent. The weather was amazing, so we kept the windows rolled down.
It took us about 20 minutes to get there. And Colton, ever the gentleman, opened my door for me and held out his hand for me to take.
We held hands as we walked along the shore, enjoying each others presence as well as the cool breeze that was blowing.
"Thank you Colton...for everything." I said as we were walking.
He stopped and turned to face me. He took my face in his hands and said,
"You don't have to thank me for anything princess...I love you and I will do anything for you, no matter what happens..." he planted a quick kiss on my lips before continuing,
"I will be there for you always."
"I love you, you know that?" I told him and kissed him. "And remember, that I will be there for you too...Always and Forever."
I wrapped my hands around him and rested my head on his chest. Standing there in each others arms felt perfect.
