Lexi's POV

In the past few days it was like I had forgotten how to smile. I went to school just because Jake forced me to. At home, I stayed in my room except for when I had to have my meals. Let's just say I could have received an award for being the most boring person on the planet.

I was standing in the line waiting to buy my lunch in the schools cafeteria.

"Hey" I turned and saw Colton facing me with a smile on his face."You're.....Lexi, right?"

"Yeah." I said nodding.

"I think we have a few classes together." he said.

"Yeah, French...... I think and Trig." I replied.

"Man, I wish I was as good as you in Trig." he said begrudgingly.

"You make me sound like some great mathematician."

" No seriously, how do even manage to remember everything?"

"It comes with practice...I guess?" I said as though I was asking myself.

"Yeah, I guess."

"Hey! Who are you having lunch with?" I asked him suddenly.

"Oh just a few guys from class." he replied dismissively.

"You can come sit with me. Me and my friends..I mean..if you want to." I said sounding like an idiot.

"Sure. I'd love to."

We bought our lunches and started walking towards my table.

"You know, I could tutor you in Math if you want." I said casually.

I know I hardly knew Colton, but being near him made me forget about all my pain. Even if it was just for a little while.

"Really? You'd do that?" he looked at me with hopeful eyes.

"Sure, why not." I told him smiling.

Wow, not even an hour and this guy has me smiling.

"Great!"

We reached my table by that time.

"Guys, this is Colton. He was admitted just a few weeks back." I said looking at my friends. Then I turned to Colton,

"Colton, this is Crystal, Drew, Nate, Rayne, Adam, Riley and Kevin." I said pointing to all of them one by one.

"Okay.....it's gonna take me sometime to remember all of your names." be said laughing nervously.

"That's alright.." Kevin said. Well, that was expected, he was the sweet one who always tried to make everyone feel comfortable.

Now, you must be wondering who these people are. You already know about Crystal and Riley so let me fill you in on the boys. Drew is Crystal's boyfriend. He's an ass - but when it comes to Chrystal, he'd do anything. Then there's Nate and Adam. They're identical twins . Like me and Jake- they never fight. That's as far as I know.I already told you about Kevin- he's the sweetest among all of us. I forgot to mention Rayne. She's like those shy yet outgoing girls. I don't even know if that makes sense. I think I'll just leave it to you to understand that.

I took my usual seat next to Chrystal and Colton took the seat opposite me, next to Kevin. Everyone started the usual lunch talk- the girls shopping and the guys basketball. I got my novel out and started reading like I do everyday, when Chrystal nudged me with her elbow
