Lexi's POV

*Honk Honk*

I heard the car's horn. I looked at my reflection in my full length mirror one last time before running downstairs to open the door.

As soon as I opened it, I was greeted by Colton who was holding a bouquet of roses.

"Hey" he said, handing the flowers to me.

"They're so pretty! Thank you!" I reached up and planted a kiss on his cheek. "I'll be right back." I went up to my room and placed the flowers on my study table.

"I'm leaving."I shouted so Jake could hear me and then slipped out the door.

Colton was standing next to a shiny black Mercedes. As soon as he saw me he opened the door to the passenger seat and gestured for me to get in. After I was seated, he jogged over to his side and started driving.

"You look beautiful."he said, sparing a second to smile at me.

As I have been doing lately, I blushed and then mumbled a 'thanks'.

I was wearing a dark blue, simple yet elegant dress. It came upto a little above my knees. I decided to pair it with 2-inch beige heels. I was never one for makeup so I just applied a little eyeliner and some clear lip-gloss, with my long brown hair curled at the ends. I looked normal but he? He looked perfect.

It was as though we planned to wear the same colour. He had on a dark blue t-shirt with blue jeans paired with sneakers. And his hair was the same as everyday -- stylishly messy.

He continued driving for a few minutes, occasionally singing along to the songs playing on the radio and I must say, he has the voice of an angel.

He stopped in front of a casual yet popular restaurant and then got out of the car and came to open my door. He held out his hand so I took hold of it and got out of the car.

We walked to the entrance and were greeted by an elderly but warm, smiling face.

"Good evening, a table for two please." Colton said politely.

"Good evening dears." she then led us to a table in the corner of the room beside the window."Here you go. Your server will be here in a moment."

Colton being the gentleman he was, pulled my chair out and helped me in. Then he took his seat opposite me.

"Good evening, my name is Sydney and I will be your server for tonight." a girl who must have been about two or three years older than me came over to our table with a notepad and pencil in her hand.

"We'll have two chef's special please." Colton told her. Then he turned to me, "Trust me on this one"

"Alright. Would you like something to drink?" Sydney asked us.

"I'll have water, please." I said to her.

"And I'll have a Coke, please. "Colton said without looking at her. He was concentrating on his phone.

Sydney gave us both a smile before rushing off towards the kitchen.

"So, how many times have you been to this place?" I asked him.

"Huh? This place? I've been here a lot since I moved here. And that's how I know that you have to try the food here." he said winking at me.

Of course that made me blush but I made no effort to hide it. Instead I stared at him with one eyebrow raised. He returned the look and we both burst out laughing.

"Here you go " Sydney said as she placed our plates in front of us.

We had our dinner -- and man was the food heavenly -- and Colton kept checking his phone every five to ten minutes. I was confused and wanted to ask him what he was doing but thought better of it and stayed quiet. There was the usual small talk though.

After we were done, Colton paid for the food and then led me to the car.

He opened my door for me -- again -- and then went over to the drivers' seat.

"So, where to now?" I asked him once he put on his seatbelt.

"Oh you'll see, princess." he said and then winked.
