Chapter 17

Lexi's POV

My date with Colton was amazing. I couldn't believe that he felt the same way about me. As soon as I got home, I called Crystal and Riley and gave them all the details.

And after a very long time, I woke up before my alarm rang. I went through my usual morning routine.As soon as I got out of the bathroom, my phone buzzed signaling that I received a message. I went and read it immediately, somehow knowing it was from Colton. With a big smile on my face, I opened the message.

Colton: Morning beautiful ;)

Me: Morning!

Colton: Just wanted to remind you that I won't be able to drive you to school today :(

Me: Yeah...no problem....I'll just ride with Jake ...See you later!

Colton: Yeah..see you..love you love:*

Me: Love you too :* :*

I put my phone down and went to blow dry my hair. Colton had some work with his mom, and that's why he said he wouldn't be able to drive me to school. I'll see him at lunch though.

After I was ready, I picked up my bag and headed downstairs.

"Morning Jake!" I said.

"Morning, sis!" he said , giving me a kiss on the cheek.

"You don't mind driving me to school today right?" I asked him.

" You don't have to ask, and you know that Lex. Of course I don't mind."

We had our breakfast and headed to school.

I got out of the car and headed straight to my locker.

I got my English books out when I felt someone standing behind me. I turned around and was pulled into a bone-crushing hug. By Crystal.

"Crys...can't breathe." I choked out.

"Oh, sorry." she said , releasing me."I'm so so so happy for you!!" she almost shouted.

I opened my mouth to reply but was cut off by the bell.

"See you later!" I told her.

"Yeah...bye!" she shouted, walking away.

Classes were boring....as usual. Except for English, that is. By the time lunch came, my brain felt fried.

I was walking up to my locker when someone stopped me.

"Lexi....please....talk to me." I knew very well who that voice belonged to.

Ryan. I've been avoiding him for so long but I guess I had to face him eventually.

"What do you want?"I asked, not looking at his face.

I waited for an answer.....and waited......and waited....and when I got no answer, I looked up. And as soon as I looked up, he crashed his lips on mine. I tried pushing him away but I was too weak. I gathered up all my strength and pushed him away.

"What do you think you're doing?!?!" I yelled. " Are you out of you're freaking mind?!"

"Lex...." he started.

I slapped him hard across his face and turned and walked away from him with tears running down my face.
