Steve's POV

I sighed, watching Courtney sleeping on the couch.

After we had gone and discussed our decision with T'challa and his council, Courtney had pretty much collapsed onto it and fell asleep.

Bucky sat next to me, on the couch across from her.

I was so worried. She just did understand that she wasn't healing. And if she wasn't right now, then she probably won't.

"Want me to watch her while you get T'challa?" Bucky whispered to me.

I nodded standing up, "Thanks Bucky."

I quietly left the room and a solider immediately moved towards me.

"What do you need?" She asked.

"I need to speak with T'challa. Is he busy?" I asked.

"We shall find out." She said, walking forward.

I followed her until we reached a laboratory, where he and a woman were discussing something.

He looked up and saw us approaching, so he started to walk towards us and the woman followed.

"Captain Rogers." He greeted. "I was just speaking about you."

"Oh?"

"I will explain later, please, tell me what it is that you need." He said.

"I need some help. Have you noticed Courtney?" I asked.

He nodded, "Indeed. That was actually what I had to say too. This is my sister, Shuri."

I smiled and nodded at her before looking back at T'challa.

"She analyzed the dart that Zemo shot Courtney with, so I believe she would be better suited to explain the situation." He said.

Shuri nodded, walking over to the table. She pointed at a picture that made no sense to me.

"This is the chemical I found lingering in the dart, it targets the blood and travels to the brain, convincing the brain that it belongs. Courtney's brain isn't trying to stop the effects of the poison, which slows the enhanced reproduction of meiosis, which is what heals her so quickly. The production at this rate is even slower than the average human. Her inability to be sick or wounded has depleted itself so much that she is actually even more prone to such things than a normal person." Shuri explained, pointing to various confusing photos.

I nodded. So instead of healing quickly, she's healing like I used to, before I had the serum. And I had a lot of issues back then.

"Is there a way to fix her?" I asked.

Shuri nodded, grabbing a vial out of a spinning thing.

"This should counteract the poison." She said.

I took it from her hand carefully and looked down at it.

"Just have her drink it and her abilities should kick in within the next 24 hours." Shuri said.

"Thank you. How can we repay you?" I asked.

"Keep the girl safe, she is more important than anyone realizes." T'challa said.

"I don't think she will choose to stay here." I told him.

"I did not expect her to, but I'm sure that she will be safe under your care and training." He said.

I nodded.

"And you will always be welcomed here Captain, should you ever wish to return." He said.
