Steve's POV

Thor dropped her in the interrogation chair and Natasha handcuffed her hands to the table. The entire time, it seemed the girl had control of her body back, but she didn't resist.

I couldn't help but remember the empty stare on her face, like that of the thousand yard stare, where a soldier could loose his soul. Something I had hoped to never see again after I emerged from the ice.

We all stood across and stared for a moment, no one wanting to be the first to speak.

"So how old are you?" Tony finally asked, breaking the ice.

"How old are you?" She asked.

"Fourty-three, thank you very much. Your turn." Tony replied with a smirk.

The girl hesitated.

"Look, if you want answers, the only way you'll get them is by giving us answers. And you'll never leave without giving us answers because Natasha, the scary lady over there, won't let you." Tony explained.

"That is a great description." Thor noted.

"I agree." Clint raised his hand before lowering it awkwardly.

"Thank you point blank, number 1 and 2." Tony rolled his eyes.

"I am fourteen." She responded.

I blinked. With all the dirt on her face and the worry lines, I would have thought she was older, maybe 17 or 18. But 14 is young, too young.

"How did you do it?" Bruce asked.

"Do what?" She asked in return.

"Heal your arm. And don't say you didn't because we know you did." He said.

She paused, "I don't know."

The answer seemed honest, but Natasha wasn't buying it.

"So Hydra gave you superpowers?" She asked.

The girl's entire body tensed, her eyes temporarily going out of focus before looking back at Natasha, careless and calm.

"I believe it's my turn to ask questions now. Who is Hydra?" She asked.

Natasha glared, "Don't play dumb, we know you-"

"Humor me."

Clint stepped up finally, resting his hands on the table.

"Hydra."

Her body tensed again and her eyes repeated its previous action before refocusing on him.

"Yes, who are they?" She asked, completely unfazed.

"Hydra." He repeated, and once again, the girl had an unusual action.

"Are you just going to repeat the name, or tell me who they are?" She huffed.

Clint looked at Natasha and they shared a look before he began explaining.

"Hy- They are an advanced, but old organization started by Johann Schmidt, otherwise known as Red Skull. They were a branch of Nazis, working under the advanced weapons department for Hitler, until the war ended and they continued to eat away at everything from the inside throughout the years. But Cap just recently broke them down. They'll probably never be truely gone, but they aren't coming back anytime soon." Clint explained.

The girl frowned at 'Cap' and I realized that she might not even know who any of us are.

"You know who we are?" I asked.
