Chapter 17: Silence

Happy's POV

"Yeah yeah May. He did great, the bad guy is gone. We're all good." I told May.

I heard footsteps and turned around spotting Fury and Agent Hill.

"Hey, I've got to go now. See you later."

"You too Happy. Keep an eye on Peter!" She said.

"I will."

I hung up, "Glad to see you're still alive. You got my message?"

"Appearances can be deceiving. I'm surprised you didn't just wink in the camera." Fury said.

"I'm glad it worked." I told him.

"Only because I had doubts about him from the beginning." Fury said.

"Not true. He had zero doubts."

I gave Fury a weird look and he gave Agent Hill a surprised and somewhat annoyed look before changing the subject.

"Where is Parker?" He asked.

"With a girl." I replied, thinking about M.J.

"Courtney? Nobody told me she woke up." Fury said in surprise.

"Courtney? As in Cadet America Courtney? She's here?" I asked in surprise.

"Wait, what girl are you talking about?" Agent Hill asked.

"Peter's girlfriend. M.J." I told them, confused.

"Well where is she? Courtney was with M.J. at the hotel." Fury demanded.

"I don't know, let me call Peter and he can ask M.J." I told them, pulling my phone back out and calling Peter.

"Happy? Is something wrong?" He asked.

"Yeah, are you with M.J.?" I asked.

"Yeah, she's right here. I'll put you on speaker. There. What's wrong?"

"Where is Courtney?" I asked.

"Courtney? She left to go get Fury. I thought she was with him." M.J. said.

"I haven't heard from her since her left base with you and Spider-Man." Fury stated.

"That was hours ago! She's been missing since this morning and none of us even realized it!?" M.J. panicked.

"Don't worry, we'll find her. She won't die permanently, I'm sure she's fine." Peter assured her.

"Then where is she?"

Sam's POV

It's been two weeks. I searched Queens and couldn't find her. Then I tracked her to Italy and then Prague and then London, where I found Nickolas Fury looking for her.

He lost her before a battle with some elementals and a fake hero guy named Mysterio.

Then I went to Wakanda and tried to have them track her communicator, but they had a hard time. Eventually though, they got it.

Now I'm back in London, where her communicator is supposedly underwater under some bridge.

Bucky is with me, when he heard about how she went missing he was infuriated. Plus, he needed something to focus on. Steve just died a few days ago.

Her communicator was probably dropped, but if we find it, we might find a clue to where she is.

"I really don't want to go down there." Bucky grumbled.
