Time jump: 1 month

Alex groaned at the peeking light shining through the blinds. Pushing her face under the covers, she growled at not being able to fall asleep once more. Not to mention she really needed to pee. Climbing out of bed, she stumbled into the bathroom and sleepily sat on the toilet. Glancing at the clock on the wall, she let out another loud groan. Only she would wake up five minutes before her alarm. Reaching into the shower, she turned the water on.

"It's too early, come back to bed!" Nathan yelled from within the bedroom.

Alex growled. "I unlike you have a job!"

"You mean the job that doesn't pay you?"

She could just imagine the smirk on his lips. "Shut up." Striping down and jumping into the shower she willed the sleep to go away.

Nathan turned his head over at hearing her walk out of the bathroom. His eyes falling instantly on her belly. Jumping out of bed, he walked over to her. Wrapping his arms around her stomach, he grinned. "We need to finish the nursery this week. You only have a month left."

"I know." She whispered. "Would have finished last week, if someone hadn't broken the crib."

"I had to test it out." Nathan groaned. "If it can't hold me, there is no way I letting them sleep in it."

Alex rolled her eyes. "Ask Eyal to help you. Then help him. Ziva is about to have a meltdown if he doesn't hurry up."

"How is she?"

Alex shrugged. "I haven't spoken to her in a few days. She and Eyal went back to his turf. Have her meet his pack officially."

"She's what a few weeks out?" Nathan asked.

Alex nodded. "Yes. Which means this should be her last week at work before maternity leave."

Nathan suddenly reached for his phone, dialing a number. "Ty."

'Yeah?'

"Listen, I need a few pack mates to help Eyal and his pack this month. Ziva should be giving birth in a couple of weeks. With Elijah still on the loose, I don't want any surprises."

'Understood. I'll send a few over right now.'

"Thank you."

Alex frowned. "You think he'd try something?"

"Better safe than sorry," Nathan grumbled. "We never thought he'd attack in daylight with humans."

"True." Drying herself off, she leaned over and gave him a quick kiss. "I have to go."

"Be careful."

"Always!" Dropping the towel just before walking out the front door, she leaped over the porch and landed on four paws. Running towards the woods, she hurried to Ziva's place.

After the incident at her father's cabin and her talk with Gibbs, Alex had to speak with the team. To say she got mixed emotions from each one was an understatement. Ziva was hurt by the fact that I didn't trust her enough to say anything, but she understood. It helped Eyal spoke to her. Tim was totally fine with it, he stated a few times that he had suspected something was at play. But Tony. Tony just stayed quiet. He refused to speak to her after that. The times we went out on cases, he made it an effort to avoid her. It hurt of course, but she knew to give him space.

Alex had moved in with Nathan after that. Well more like Nathan and she had moved into her father's cabin. She believed they all did. Eyal and Ziva spent more time with them than they did at their place. Nathan's pack had mixed in with Clay's pack so much that their scent was now the same. Ever since Clay being alive had spread, Matt and Derek had returned home. For some reason, Matt refused to be anywhere near their dad. And Derek, well Derek looked downright scared when he found out about Clay. She wasn't too sure what that was about, but she was not about to meddle into it.
