CHAPTER 39

Days passed and the cycle continues. Dane's supposed to be a week of staying here became two. May kailangan rin kasi s'yang i-fix na issue with their investor here in the Philippines.

Michael and Dane has become my tails. They are relentless. Walang gustong magpatalo. And the endless hunt of who's who came to nowhere. Naiinis na rin ako, they are really competitive with each other. As if I am the prize. Ang sarap pagbuhulin! 

"I'm not going home unless you go home!" I massaged the side of my head as the two of them started crushing each other.

Nandito sila ngayon sa bahay, pasado alas 8 na ng gabi. I don't know what happened at kung bakit sila nauwi rito sa sala ko.

To make the story short, I went home early dahil wala naman akong ginagawa sa office. Pagkarating ko rito, Dane eventually came and invited me over for a dinner. I declined his offer since gusto kong magluto para sa sarili ko. But since Dane is Dane, he redirected his plans and went on having dinner with me here at my house.

Ang kaso lang, magsisimula palang sana kaming kumain ay dumating naman si Mr. Alfonso who said that he just wanted to check me here. But upon seeing Dane on the table, he barged in. He was even pissed that Dane is at my dining table.

We ate our dinner silently--well, atleast for me. Napapansin ko rin kasi ang mga tinginan nila sa isa't-isa. They are watching each other's move. Trying to assess how to kill each other without me noticing their motives.

"You go home, Lhar! I already told Erwin that I will stay here for the night!" Natinig kong sigaw ni Dane.

He didn't actually said that. I don't know if he just wanted to outrun Mr. Alfonso or he really planned to sleep here. Which, I will never agree. Ang iingay nila. I just wanted a minute of silence for my life.

The passed days has been a tug of war and a push and pull for me. Someone will pull me, then later on they will push. For how long will they ever consider me? I mean, my free will?

"No one's sleeping here! If you will sleep here, then so am I." Matigas na sabi ni Mr. Alfonso. I just keep on listening to them while I seating here on the couch. Kakatapos lang namin kumain at nag-aaway sila kung sino ang unang uuwi.

"Not gonna happen, Lhar." Matigas ring pahayag ni Dane.

Nang hindi na ako makatiis ay tumayo na ako at tumingin sa kanilang dalawa. They look at me and  still nagging who's going home. I remained my face void of any expression. I want to show them that I'm dead serious.

"You two, go home." Maikli ngunit klaro kong sabi sa kanila. Sasagot pa sana si Dane nang pinanlisikan ko s'ya ng mata.

"For once give me silence and peace!" Naiinis kong sigaw. Tumingin ako sa kanila at kanya kanya naman silang iwas ng tingin sa akin. Nagmukha na silang mga tuta na ayaw mapagalitan.

"But--"

"Say a word and I'll cut your tongue." Seryoso kong sabi kay Dane. He immediately shut his mouth and avoided my gaze.

"Take that asshole." Narinig kong sabi ni Mr. Alfonso. Mahina lang iyon at siniko n'ya pa si Dane habang nagpipigil ng ngiti.

"Saying something, Michael?" Tumingin s'ya sa akin matapos kong banggitin ang pangalan n'ya. He fastly averted his gaze away from me.

"Now, now...labas na. Umuwi na kayo at matutulog na ako!"

Sabay naman silang naglakad palabas sa pintuan habang parang pinagbagsakan ng langit at lupa. They were even hitting each other. Mga immature! How long will I stand with them? Tss.
