*Kamala coughing*
It was 4 am in the morning and I was awoke to the sound of Kamala coughing in the bathroom while sitting on the floor. It's possible she's having morning sickness again, could it be the food she ate didn't agree with her stomach, or made our baby dislike it?
"Baby, you okay?" I asked patting her back and she kept on coughing. I ran to the to get a bottle of water for her to drink. As I brought the bottle in, Kamala starts throwing up into the toilet. I became worried as I pat her back once more to ease the pain.
"You alright? Kamala come on let me carry you to bed." I waited for Kamala as she flushed the toilet, took a sip of the water and then brush her teeth. I began carrying her to the bed as she leans on my shoulder.
"I'll take care of you, rest up Momala." I placed a kiss on her forehead as she slowly falls asleep. I stayed up and watched while sitting on the bed next to Kamala as she wraps her arms around my waist. The warmth of her embrace is soothing as I turned on OWN network and watch Tyler Perry's Have and the Have Nots all the way till 6 in the morning as the sunrises.
It's been two days since Kamala's birthday and today is the last day being in Oakland California. Tomorrow we have to head back to DC so we can continue the daily presidential assignments given By Joe himself.
It was the Sunday morning of our last day here together, and Kamala loves going to church all the time. She use to go the bible classes on Wednesdays but when the pandemic started everyone nows does them on Zoom call. We both spend a day in our home while I whip up a cup of coffee while she was in bed resting.
Her favorite is bagel with Cream cheese, ham and avocado sandwich and on the side a greek yogurt. Something she'll eat when she has to soothe her stomach at. But yesterday and early this morning, she suddenly became nauseous and I was highly awake to make sure she's alright. Luckily, she feels a lot better this morning by the time I contacted Kamala's personal maternity doctor to see what she should take when she's in her second trimester.
The last thing the lady over the phone told me to keep a close watch on Kamala at all times. But I was informed that she isn't allowed to travel overseas once she's 8 months pregnant. Plus the vaccines going out currently right now, which also means Kamala might need to get vaccinated again for the booster soon but what could happen to our baby?
The thought of it worries me and the fact that she was hospitalized before the overseas trip. I prepared the meals as Kamala suddenly shifts in bed, noticing I'm not there.
"Good morning, breakfast is ready Momala." I said walking in with the food as Kamala slowly woken up.
"Good morning hubby." She leaned on my shoulder as I placed the food on the table.
"Ready for a relaxing day, watching the service on Zoom?" I asked as she took a sip of the tea.
"Yep, just getting myself together." She got up from the bed and wore a long robe as she munches down on the bagel I prepared.
"I'm glad your feeling better, tomorrow is the day we get back to work in DC." I said putting stuff in the suitcase for tomorrow's return.
"I know, at least I enjoyed my birthday presents you gave me." Kamala held Kali who is wagging her tail and barking.
"Ready for your breakfast girl?" I whip up some puppy chow for Kali as she runs over and began pouncing. I served her meal as she finally began eating. Later on, I'm taking her out for a stroll around park and probably stop to get some desserts to take home.
The pastor began talking on Zoom as Kamala listened in. I joined her for a two hour service as we got the bible out and watched the whole service.
After the service was over for a full two hours, Kamala took a nap on the couch as I placed a blanket on her to keep warm. I went and got ready for the walk around. Dressed warm and ready to get pumped, I got the strap when I saw Kali laying on Kamala's lap and getting cozy near her future baby sister in the womb. Kali didn't seem like she wanted to go anywhere and judging by the looks of it, she's guarding Kamala all day.
