Hanging around backstage at NXT was always a fun time except for today. The heat in the arena wasn't working right and I thought it was freezing.

I was on the couch in the DIY locker room with my arms wrapped around myself. Johnny was making fun of me for being cold.

"It's not funny," I said.

"I just don't get how you're that cold," Johnny said.

"I don't get it either," I said.

I heard the door open and turned to see Ciampa walking in.

"Hey," I said as he joined me on the couch.

"You okay?" Tommaso asked.

"She's cold," Johnny said.

"How?" Tommaso asked.

"Fine," I said. "If you're so warm then you can warm me up."

I slid over on the couch so I was right up against him.

"Oh, uh, okay," Tommaso said.

I could feel him hesitantly put an arm around me.

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing, you're just...close," Tommaso said.

"Oh, I'm sorry," I said.

"No, it's okay," Tommaso said.

"I can move," I said.

I tried to move away but Tommaso just pulled me back.

"Really," Tommaso said. "It's okay."

"Uh, I'm going to go to catering," Johnny said awkwardly before getting up and leaving.

Tommaso and I sat in an awkward silence for a few minutes.

"Can I ask you something?" I finally asked.

"Yeah," Tommaso said.

"Why have you been acting so weird around me lately?" I asked.

He was quiet for a minute as he thought about what to say.

"You make me nervous," Tommaso said.

"Did I do something?" I asked.

"No, you didn't do anything," Tommaso said.

He took a deep breath.

"I've had a crush on you for a while now and I didn't know how to tell you," Tommaso said.

"You have a crush on me?" I asked.

"Why do you sound surprised?" Tommaso asked.

"Well because I'm me," I said. "I'm not anything special."

"Please don't talk about yourself like that," Tommaso said. "You are special to me."

I looked up at him.

"Can I kiss you?" I asked.

He just smiled before pulling me closer for a kiss.
