Pairing: Jon Moxley x Reader

Prompt: "Do you know how to take care of a sick person?"

~

Getting a cold was never fun, especially when it led to canceling plans. My boyfriend Jon and I were supposed to have a date night tonight. I hoped I would feel better throughout the day but that didn't seem to be the case. I decided to give him a call.

"What's up, babe," Jon said when he answered the phone.

"I don't think I'm gonna be able to go out tonight," I said. "I'm not feeling that great."

"What's wrong?" Jon asked, the slightest hint of concern in his voice.

"I just have a cold," I said. "I hate to cancel so last minute but I think it would be better if I just stayed in."

"We can always go out when you're feeling better," Jon said.

"Thanks for understanding," I said. "I'll talk to you later. Love you."

"I love you too," Jon said before hanging up.

I grabbed my box of tissues before making my way to the couch. I had just picked out a movie to watch when there was a knock at the door.

I opened it to see Jon.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"You said you were sick so I'm here to take care of you," Jon said.

"Do you even know how to take care of a sick person?" I asked.

"I mean it's a cold, it's not like you're dying," Jon said. "I think I can handle it."

I stepped aside so he could come in. He sat the bag he had with him on the counter in the kitchen.

"Alright, I brought cold medicine and tissues and that chicken noodle soup from Panera that you like so much," Jon said as he took each thing out of the bag.

"You didn't have to do all this," I said.

"I know but I didn't want you to be alone while you're sick," Jon said. "Besides it's date night."

"I don't want you getting sick too," I said.

"Take the meds," Jon said.

I sighed before taking two of the tablets like the bottle said.

"Now, here's your soup. Do you wanna eat out here or in the living room?" Jon asked.

"Living room," I said.

The two of us spent the evening on the couch going back and forth between movies and TV shows.
