"Are you ready to go yet?" Matt asked from the other room.
"Just about," I said as I finished up getting dressed.
Matt and I made plans to spend the day at Disney World. It was our favorite thing to do when we both had free time. However, I overslept this morning and now Matt was in a rush.
I left the bathroom, expecting to see Matt in the bedroom but he wasn't there anymore. I went downstairs and found him waiting by the door.
"Why are you in such a hurry?" I asked.
"I just want to beat the crowds," Matt said.
"I mean we have fast passes, but okay," I said.
"I know, but," Matt sighed. "I'm sorry. I'm just excited to spend the day with you."
"No need to be sorry for that," I said.
I grabbed my purse and slipped on my shoes.
"Let's go," I said.
Later...
Christmas time at Disney was the best time of the year. Especially at night when all the lights were turned on.
I was trying to take cute pictures with Matt, but he was in such a rush to get back to Cinderella's Castle.
"What's so important that we have to rush?" I asked, somewhat annoyed.
"I don't mean to rush you but there's a show starting soon, and I don't want to miss it," Matt said.
"Okay, fine," I said.
We picked up our pace to get to the castle. When we got there, it didn't look like anything was happening.
When I turned to Matt to ask him about it, he was down on one knee. He was holding a box with a black diamond ring. The diamonds were set to look like a flower.

"Are you serious?" I asked.
"Of course, I'm serious," Matt said. "I don't know what I would do without you, and I don't want to find out. Will you marry me?"
"Yes," I said as a few tears flowed down my cheeks.
I took the ring from the box to get a better look at it before sliding it onto my finger.
"You even got me a Disney themed ring," I said.
"I know how much you love Disney," Matt said. "I wanted to make sure everything was perfect."
"It was," I said. "I love you so much."
"I love you too," Matt said before pulling me into a kiss.
