*(Y/F/N) = Your friend's name*

~

I was in the locker room watching the last hour of RAW. I had finished everything I had to do for the night, but I liked sticking around until the show was over.

I heard my phone ringing from where it laid on the table. I got up to see who was calling and saw my best friend's name come across the screen.

"Hey, (Y/F/N)," I said when I answered the phone.

"Are you coming?" (Y/F/N) asked.

"What?" I asked.

"You never responded to my wedding invitation," (Y/F/N) said. "It's this weekend, (Y/N)."

I could hear the irritation in her voice.

"I'm so sorry, (Y/F/N)," I said. "I haven't been home in a while. I haven't been able to get the mail."

"I need an answer," (Y/F/N) said. "I really want you there."

I sighed.

"Of course I'll be there," I said.

"Great!" (Y/F/N) said. "I have a seat for you and a date set aside."

"Oh, I don't have a date," I said.

"It's not too late to find one," (Y/F/N) said.

"I'll do my best," I said. "See you this weekend."

I hung up the phone.

I started gathering my stuff up from around the locker room when Randy came in. Randy and I were in a storyline together so we shared a locker room to make it easy.

"You seem irritated," Randy said.

"Not irritated, just stupid," I said.

"What happened?" Randy asked.

"A friend of mine just called. Since I've been on the road so much, I missed her wedding invitation," I said.

"Did you miss the wedding?" Randy asked.

"Thankfully, no," I said. "It's this weekend."

"That's good at least that you get to go," Randy said. "You are going, right?"

"Obviously," I said. "I just wish I would have known sooner. Now I have to head home, find a dress, a wedding gift, not to mention a date."

I put my jacket on and grabbed my bag.

"But it should be a fun weekend," I said.

I went to walk out the door, but I stopped.

"Would you wanna go with me?" I asked. "I know it's last minute and everything but-"

"Send me the details later," Randy said.

"Okay," I said with a smile.

I left the locker room and headed to the hotel I was staying at for the night.

A few days later...

I just finished my cup of coffee before there was a knock at my door.

"Good morning," I said when I opened the door.

"You're awfully chipper this morning," Randy said.

"Trust me, I'm not normally like this," I said.

He followed me into the living room.

"The guest bathroom is down the hall and there is coffee in the kitchen," I said. "I need to start getting ready."
