~

I never regretted moving to Florida, but I still considered Cincinnati home. Today I had been cleaning out my closet and found a box of pictures from when Jon and I were growing up. Now I just missed home.

"Harper," I heard Johnny call from the living room.

"I'm upstairs," I called back.

"Hey," Johnny said when he got upstairs.

He had two smoothies with him. He gave me a quick kiss before handing me the strawberry one.

"Thank you," I said. "How was the gym?"

"It was great," Johnny said. "What have you been up to?"

"Finally cleaning out my closet," I said.

"What's this?" Johnny asked, noticing the box on the bed.

"Old pictures from when Jon and I were kids that I didn't even remember I had. You can look through them if you want," I said.

"Jon never liked his picture taken, did he?" Johnny asked.

"Not really," I said. "You know, I don't think I realized how much I missed Cincinnati until I found those."

"When was the last time you were there?" Johnny asked.

"I mean I've passed through for shows but I haven't really gone back for a visit in years," I said. "It might sound dumb but I'd really like to go back and have time to go to the zoo."

"Oh yeah?" Johnny asked.

"Yeah, that's where a lot of those pictures are from. I think it was for my sixth birthday," I said.

"Looks like you had a fun time," Johnny said.

"I did until I got scared by a gorilla," I said.

"Is that why you look so upset in this one?" Johnny asked.

He flipped the picture he was holding so I could see it. It was me with an ice cream cone. My eyes were red and puffy. Jon was mid laugh.

I nodded. "He never did let me live that down."

Johnny was quiet while he finished looking through the picture.

"What if we took a trip back to Ohio this weekend," Johnny said.

"Wait, really?" I asked.

"Yeah, I mean, its been a while since we've both been back home and I think it would be fun. I can't even remember the last time I went to a zoo," Johnny said.

"Honestly that sounds great," I said. "But we're skipping the gorillas."
