Chapter 13 - Goblin Siege

A Day Later

Antony the Guild Master of this branch was reading a report on his desk. It was about an incident involving two parties. A young D rank had wiped out another party to save his party member, so the report claimed. A case of self defense. He had heard there was a boy with very little mana who had become the youngest ever to reach D rank and in less than half a month no less. The very same one in question. He was either actually very powerful or he was using a powerful magic tool. The report said the boy's name was Tesla. At the very least while there was very little in the way of accomplishments this boy had piqued his interest.

"Aiisha..." Antony calls beckoning to the young girl who stood behind his desk.

"I'm giving you a task. You will join and investigate Tesla's party. Report anything unusual. Here take this"

He hands her small blue round object.

"Is this?"

"Yes it is us it to keep in touch" Antony said.

"Understood"

Outside Florenci City
Grassy Field

"Today we focus on the martial arts portion of your training or better yet self defense training." Tesla tells Canette who was standing across from him.

Canette nods her head. She had understood she had got careless which led to her being kidnapped.

"Remember watch your opponents movements. Look for openings and counter. Now come!"

That night

Tesla was sitting on his bed thinking. Canette was somewhat physically lacking. He could teach her how to defend herself but that was only against normal people. People who were physically stronger and/or possessed powerful magic would put her life in danger. He would have to teach her better mana control so that she would stand a decent chance against stronger enemies. Her advantage was her healing abilities as long as she didn't suffer fatal injuries she could heal herself and continue to fight. However it still cost mana to do so. Speaking of he needed to create better methods of healing. Healing potions took up too much space, so he was gonna have to create syringes and pills. So he was thinking of making a personal firearm for her. He was thinking a machine pistol. Of course he would teach her to use a regular pistol as well. He had just the weapon for her too. Tesla closes his eyes and begins crafting the parts.

1 Week Later

Over the past week days Tesla has been training Cannete in martial arts by day and making her weapon by night and today she was going to start her firearms training as well.

"Hah!" Cannete shouts as shouts as she spars with Tesla.

"Alright that's enough. You've gotten a lot better in just a week. Soon you'll be able to properly defend yourself." He tells her once he eventually pins her to the ground.

He helps her up.

"Today you will start training in the use of firearms as well continuing martial arts."

"Firearms?"

"Yes firearms, this" he pulls out an object it was small and black.

"This is a firearm also known as a 'gun'. I'm sure you've seen me use them before."

"But that one is different from the one you use though" she observed.
