"You're putting her in swim sessions with an instructor ? Thought you'd happily take on this task seeing as you can't stay from the water either"
"With me working soon from the office and you on the road I don't think neither of us can really teach her can we, besides no matter how much knowledge I know about the water she needs a trained licensed professional. Also maybe she can make friends in time for starting school"
"And the boys ?"
"Heidi says she'd be more than happy watching them for us, but also if it were up to me I would try to make my own office at home"
"Are you sure you're gonna be fine here while I'm gone ?" he asks again since this morning
"Izzy, listen to me loud and clear" placing the drying towel down moving to stand by the island "I am 100% more than capable of being fine at home with the kids. Yes I said kids because who do you think is gonna be home with Jekyll and Hyde while you're on the road"
"Heidi, you know the nanny you hired" he answers being a smartass
"No one likes a know it all puddin' anyways I'll be okay, plus...my mom is temporarily living here for awhile until the boys reach 7 months" mumbling that last part moving away from him
"What did you say ?"
"Hm, nothing must be hearing stuff again" shrugging drying the rest of the dishes
"Is your mom moving back to California ?"
"Well just until her Canadian citizenship is approved don't worry you won't even be here for most of it and I could use a little family nurturing since I'm gonna be tired and going through it with post baby depression"
"Alright relax no ones crying or complaining, so how are we looking on wedding preparations ?"
"Actually we're all set; wedding dress is being started on by Carson, Teresa got reservations done for a preacher to wed us, bridesmaid dresses are done and will be picked up in two weeks from New York, and the guest list is finished and limited since you hate big crowds and a lot of people"
"Your folks from Arizona ?"
"Oh look at you being on top of things, I like it but they'll be coming in curtesy of Bob paying for their travels expense"
"So we're really gonna do this ?"
"We're really gonna do this, scared ?"
"Maybe a little nervous but that's because I've never been married before"
"I can't tell you how that feels because I got wedded in a Vegas chapel by an Elvis impersonator"
"Was he good at least ?"
"Actually he was pretty bad because he was a slob and sounded nothing like him"
"Mommy, daddy Jewels is gone again" seeing the little 4 year old run in the kitchen
"We've been over this Bella, Jewels leaves to go roam the city but she'll be right back in time for bedtime remember ?" watching him diffuse the situation, doing a pretty good job too I gotta say
"But we were gon' go play in my room and listen to music" she stomps pouting
"Why don't you go play with your toys Bella until she gets back ?" suggesting but she still pouts and shakes her head no "Izzy I'm in distress handle it please"
"C'mon let's go, mom needs time to spend with your brothers" he carries her away leaving me to it
Before I get invested too much the door is being rung and I'm drying my hands to see who's there, standing before me is an older woman who looks a little shocked to see me. I don't think she means any harm but with previous encounters I can never be too sure about shit anymore, so my guard stays up at all times
