CHAPTER 42
I love you
(WARNING! SPG scene ahead!)

Victoria hugged Selene and looked up when she realized they brought a guest.

Ayla almost forgot Victoria existed. Everything that she did to her flashed through her memory in a speed of light. Right from the start. Right to where it ended.

Napangisi ito nang makita ang presensya niya. Victoria didn't seem to age.

"I thought you would be inviting someone so special. Nagdamit pa ako nang ganito. Ito lang pala," she said and smirked.

She just looked down and didn't even dare herself to respond.

"Ma," Sancho said. That tone was so familiar. Hindi tuloy niya maiwasang balikan ang dati.

Victoria just shrugged and sat down.

"I don't know why she even came with us, mommy. She isn't even part of our family," sumbong ni Selene dito.

"I think so, too, honey," Victoria said and they both grinned like evil characters in one's fairytale.

Sancho held her arm. "Let's sit down."

Ilang siyang tumango at sinunod ang sinabi nito.

"Hmm, you act strange. Bakit parang ngayon yata, eh, umaakto ka na para kang tuta? Hindi ba dati ina-under-under mo lang ang anak ko?"

"Ma, please. Selene is here."

Nanatili siyang nakayuko at tahimik. Gusto niya itong prangkahin.

And the fact that until now, Sancho still didn't have any idea. How she paid Thomas to destroy them. To brainwash her. To get her trust.

Nagsimula na silang kumain. Tahimik lang si Ayla buong oras. Naguguluhan.

"You don't seem well. You look thin. Not eating much lately? Doesn't have someone to take care of you as much as my son?"

"Ma..."

"I'm serious. I mean, look at her."

It seemed that Victoria was enjoying the fact that she wasn't saying anything at all. Especially now that she wasn't showing the attitude. She already learned from her mistakes. One of it was on how she treated Victoria before, Sancho's mother. But she had to move on and hope for something different.

"Hindi na nahiya. After four years, magpapakita rito na parang wala lang?" anito at napangisi.

She thought Victoria knew that she found out she was behind all of it. Victoria was just taking advantage of the fact that she wouldn't say anything about it to the table especially now because no one would believe her. It was all in the past. And there was no point of bringing it up again.

"Ma—"

"Daddy, I want to pee. Samahan mo 'ko, please," Selene said, interrupting them.

He glanced to the both of them before leaving the table with Selene.

"Why did you do that?" she confronted Victoria the moment they left.

"I just did what I had to do," she said nonchalantly while slicing the steak before eating it.
