Sacramento California

The day after the last show was normal, they were on the road the whole day.

Today they're playing in Sacramento and surprisingly this venue was quite small, but sold out.

"I'm too tired for this," Awsten complains, slumping on the couch, "can we have another day off?"

"We're almost there you big baby." Lucas makes a turn on the road.

"I'm not a baby, I just simply am bored and want to eat something other than hot pockets and whatever the fuck else we have in that mini fridge."

"If you're bored then sleep or watch a movie. About the food part, we're almost at Subway so then you can eat."

"But I don't want Subwaayyyy."

"Then eat whatever we have in the fridge."

"Fine, I'll eat shitty Subway, as long as I don't have to eat any more hot pockets. The taste is still stuck in my mouth from how many I've eaten this past month." Awsten shivers at the taste in his mouth.

Otto goes to clap sarcastically, "Looks like someone just got out of his picky stage. Congratulations."

"I was never picky, I just don't like hot pockets anymore."

"You considered dressing up as one for Halloween in middle school" Otto puts his hand on Awsten's shoulder, "Don't tell me you don't like them. Do you remember when you wrote the most stupid songs about dumb shit? Middle school is when you started that. What was the first one about again?"

"I don't know what the first one was, really. Jawn knows where all the journals are cause I fucking forgot."

"Already planning on burning them!" Jawn exclaims from the bathroom.

"All I can remember are the ones that weren't really my first," Awsten admits, "but I remember writing about how much I hated school and I think was girl issues I didn't even experience cause I was in eighth grade with braces and shoulder length hair. I hadn't even kissed a girl at that point to be honest, but don't even ask for a photo, it's not even worth it."

"The thirteen year old you looked like a goofy emo child." Otto pitched in.

"And that's exactly what I said!" Awsten agrees.

"Look at you guys," Hope interrupts, "You're both finally getting along."

"Hey, we get along." Awsten disagrees, pulling Otto down on the couch with him.

"Really? Cause just yesterday you pulled Otto out of his bunk and you both tackled each other for at least fifty minutes."

"Well that's just how I show my love to him as my best friend. I'm not saying it's normal...but it's what I do."

"Well it's definitely not normal that's what I tell you." Hope says, walking to the small table.

She looks more at the messages she's received over the nights. She still can't figure out who sent them, or why they even do it in the first place. She can't post about it because it's most likely they'll make a move. She definitely can't call the police cause when she looks at them and looks back, they're gone, and they'll leave if they hear the police sirens.

"You okay?" Geoff asks, nudging her shoulder lightly with his fist.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just some stuff going on."

"Well I've heard you and Awsten talking late at night for the past couple days. Anything going on between you guys?"

"What? God, no, Geoff. Don't even say anything about or like that topic. Please, just, just..no."
