Sacramento California

They planned to go to San Francisco for the day so they all decided to wake up at the same time at 6:00. Lucas estimated the time to be about an hour and a half if the traffic is good, and he's the one driving so as soon as he hears the alarm he gets up.

Everyone else is tired and worn out from the show last night so it takes them longer to get up. About at the time they all get out of bed, Lucas is already out getting them food from a few streets down the corner. They have today and two more days off until their next show in Tucson Arizona.

The five are sat down at the table and couch. No one's said a word yet and they can barely stay awake.

Jawn decides to break the silence, "Was anyone up late last night? I thought I had heard someone talking, but I was half asleep so I don't know if I was hearing things or not."

Hope's eyes immediately go to Awsten, and he's just staring at the floor, eyes wide and his leg is bouncing up and down.

"Uh no, I didn't hear anything," Hope lies.

"It was really weird, it sounded like whispering and definitely heavy breathing. I don't know, I must've been hearing things last night." Jawn keeps second guessing himself and Awsten finally looks back at Hope. His eyebrows are raised and his eyes are still huge.

Hope just gives him a small shrug, signaling him to just go with it.

Awsten looks down at his phone pretending he doesn't know anything about it. "Yeah, I didn't hear anything at all last night. Lucas also just texted me he's out to get some food, he'll be back soon though."

"Alright, I'll just believe that I've lost my mind." Jawn rolls his eyes.

After 10 minutes of pure silence, Lucas comes back with their food.

"Finally!" Geoff says excitedly, "I've been waiting all morning for this."

"I'm just surprised all of you guys are awake, what did I miss?" Lucas asks, handing everyone what he got them.

"Nothing really," Hope explains "Jawn just thought he heard some stuff last night."

"So I'm not the only one?" Lucas asks strangely.

Awsten just freezes from where he is, not moving a muscle. "Hey, uh..nah, you guys are um...just weird, no one else heard anything so, uh, it couldn't have been anything." He says frantically.

"Awsten are you okay?" Jawn seems concerned.

"Hm? Oh uh, yeah, yeah I'm good, I'm great. Just don't mind me."

"So you're sure you didn't hear anything last night?"

"Yup, I'm sure alright, didn't hear or see a thing. I was asleep as can be last night."

"Okay..." Jawn says more hesitantly.

Hope goes to whisper into Awsten's ear, "You can't make it any more obvious? If he asks you again, just say no and nothing else."

"Yeah, okay, sorry." Awsten keeps his head down and grabs whatever food is left after everyone got their own.

After they've all finished eating, Jawn and Otto go back to their bunks for more sleep, if they're going to stay up late again tonight they figure to sleep more is better so they don't go back to the bus early.

Geoff puts a movie into the player and him, Hope, and Awsten watch it as Lucas takes the wheel and starts driving the bus to San Francisco.

The drive there is more relaxed and quiet, nobody has much to say and almost half of them are asleep. Even after just 30 minutes into the movie, Geoff goes to his bunk. It seems lonely to all of them, even if there's six people on the bus together.
