I'll Run to You // Awsten Knight

Chapter 2-Meeting

September 1st, 2017

Hope wakes up to the sound of her alarm, she reads the time as 6:30, she woke up early today to make sure she has time to get ready for her meeting with Waterparks today, they were going to meet her and her manager at their office.

 Hope's manager is Maliki, they've always tried flirting with her, but she's always had to play it off and turn them down without noticing, but the pair are still really good friends. 

It's always nice to have a friend to work with.

Hope grabs her clothes and hurries to the bathroom to shower. Hope has always had a unique style, she stands out from the other singers she's met. But something she'll never be ready to do is tell the public of her sexuality, Hope has known she's pansexual since she was twelve, but she's never told anyone but her sister, who still lives in Ohio. 

She chose to wear a simple outfit, a Pink Floyd graphic tee, some ripped jean shorts with fishnets attached to trail down and fit perfectly on the rest of her legs, her rings, and black and grey mix matched shoes.

Hope entered her car and started the engine. You could practically see her shaking from a mile away. She wasn't ready for this, sure, she was a world famous singer, that doesn't make her fearless. She still gets nervous around new people, especially around new people she'll be working with. Maliki's office is about ten minutes away, which will give her plenty of time to get everything in place. 

Later, she arrives to see Maliki greeting her at the door, as they lead her in, they are only a few inches from touching her ass, she feels herself cringing. "Hey Hope! Are you feeling up to this? We have time to go back to my place and I can help you calm down a little." She hated this side of them, but she still loves her friend.

 "I'm actually feeling better than I was on the drive here," which was a lie "thank you though. I just want to make sure everything's in place, I need to make a good impression on them." She started walking past her friend as they started walking behind her.

 "Oh...okay."

Twenty minutes passed and they should be here any second, now she's really feeling it, she's starting to sweat a lot and hopes no one can notice. As soon as she's done thinking about it, she sees the door swing open, and a familiar blue haired boy walks through the door, along with two people behind him. Awsten has a bright smile on his face, it could almost blind someone.

The taller brunette was Geoff, he looked to be around six foot, and he had crystal blue eyes, he was the guitarist for Waterparks.

The last through the door was Otto, he was the shortest of the group and was always teased because of it, he also grew out his hair to be a little under his shoulders, he had dark brown wavy hair. Otto is the drummer in the group.

As they sat down, Hope greeted the three "Hey guys, it's so great to finally meet you all." She hopes they can't see her hands shaking as she hands it to them to shake. 

"Damn your hand's sweaty", Otto points out. 

"Shut the fuck up Otto she's probably just nervous. Which I understand cause I mean, who wouldn't  be nervous around us? We're the richest most hottest guys around." Awsten laughs, soon leading Hope to let out a chuckle. 

"Guys you don't even know if she's comfortable with us cussing", Geoff says. 

"Oh no it's completely fine, I really don't mind." Hope assures him. Awsten and Otto both give Geoff a look, he just rolls his eyes and laughs it off. 

"Sorry we didn't introduce ourselves," Awsten says, "I'm Awsten, this is Geoff" he gestures to his right, "and that's Otto" he says plainly with no movement but sitting down.

"I'm so grateful you chose me to open for you guys, ever since I got the dm I've been listening to your music non-stop, Lucas never told me how good you all are." Lucas is the band's tour manager, they treat him like a best friend, yet, like a slave sometimes, but everyone loves him.

"What a shock." Geoff says sarcastically. 

"Lucas only doesn't say good things about you guys, I'm his best friend so I know he says all that good shit about how cool I am," Awsten tells her. Otto rolls his eyes so far back you could practically only see white of his eyes, Hope just laughs. 

"Glad you like my sense of humor, you're going to get a lot more of that...say...if we all go somewhere next week? I mean, we do only have to leave for the tour on the eighteenth." Awsten suggests, almost while creepily staring at Hope. He just can't keep his eyes off of her, she's so gorgeous, he just had to ask her to go with him, but couldn't make it weird between the four so he had to ask Geoff and Otto to go too.

"Sorry man, I can't go, I'm staying with my parents for a few days." Geoff says with a fake sorrowful look toward Awsten and Otto. Otto catches on and comes up with a stupid excuse to get out of going somewhere with them. Ever since they found out Awsten had a crush on Hope, they begged him to ask her to open for them, so now that this opportunity is finally happening, they won't miss it. 

"Man I wish I could but one of my dog is sick and who knows how long I have to stay home to take care of her." Otto says.

Awsten just sighs and Hope says, "Y'know Awsten, I can go, I basically have nothing going on until the fourteenth to perform for a talk show, so if you find a place, I'll gladly go with you." This makes Awsten happy to hear and agrees.

For the next hour they talk about the show and the floor plans for it, all the lights and what songs Hope is going to perform to get the crowd going. They finally chose her songs 'Fan Behavior, Rendezvous, Ferrari, Makeup Drawer, and Pink Party', all of which are on her album 'Insects'. Fan Behavior and Makeup Drawer have made it on the radio and fans went crazy over it. She's so grateful to have so many loving fans, though on Twitter, she's seen that some of the fandom is super toxic, she knows she shouldn't but she hates the fans that dislike everything she does besides her music.

After another half-hour, they finish the meeting, they all head out the door to find Maliki waiting for them on a chair by the office door, a coffee in one hand and their phone in the other. Maliki looks up to see all four of them smiling at them. "What's got y'all in such a good mood? I'm half asleep and almost dozed off like..thirty million times!" They say as they start walking with the group. 

"I don't know, I guess we just get along well." Hope says through her smile.
