The morning was all a rush, like a blur. Awsten didn't remember much, but now he finds himself sitting at the airport and waiting to be called on the plane.

His only carry-ons are the gifts he got for Hope and his backpack, he couldn't carry his duffle bag because it was too heavy.

Awsten was surprised to see how many people are at the airport this early in the morning. Flights were full and the lines to go through security took an hour to get through, good thing it'll only take him a couple hours to get to New York, three at the most.

The waiting seats by Awsten were full, he was sat between a woman with her baby, "Great," Awsten thought to himself, just what he needed, a baby on the plane.

To his left was what seemed to be a couple high schoolers, looking like they might have just graduated even. They were being extremely loud with their conversations that Awsten could hear what they were talking about through the music he was playing.

Obviously, it was Hope's newest album, and it was his favorite. He wonders what she's doing now, maybe she's at the studio recording music, or writing it right now. Everything she makes gets better every time, and Awsten likes to think that about his music too.

It's only a matter of time until Awsten was almost pushed into the woman with the baby by the teenager next to him, and they don't even acknowledge him until they do so. Even then, no one says anything to him but they all laugh. This was going to be a long flight.

Awsten was one of the first to be called onto his flight, and nobody next to him was coming with him, at least he knows he won't have to sit next to either of those people.

A lot of things seemed off though, Awsten started noticing he was getting stared at by quite a few people, but what does that mean? Of course, people could recognize him from photos paparazzi took when he was with Hope, but surely that many people couldn't be interested about that.

The plane ride was so awkward, Awsten had the window seat, but got 'lucky' enough to be seated only next to one person. He was like one of those weird business men in movies that were always too busy to acknowledge people around him because he's always on a phone call for something 'important'.

But instead of the guy being on a call, he fell asleep in his seat, in a suit, nearly letting his head fall onto Awsten's shoulder.

Awsten never understood how people can fall asleep on airplanes, they're always so uncomfortable and there's always that risk of the plane crashing and you wouldn't even be awake, and that terrified him.

This was probably the worst flight he's ever been on in his life.

"It's about time I got out of there." Awsten mumbles to himself. He finally got to New York and was out of the airport, and he absolutely hated his flight. The guy next to him completely blacked out when he fell asleep and would not wake up, and his head fell on Awsten's shoulder a few times, but Awsten got lucky enough that the man wouldn't wake up when he moved his head off of him.

He tried to get the thoughts of the flight out of his head and focus on who he was going to see. If Awsten wasn't nervous enough before he got here, he surely is now, and he's getting closer to her every second that passes by.

Awsten didn't want to spend so much money on an Uber every time he needed to go somewhere, so he rented a car. It was a small, red car with only two seats in the whole vehicle, and the trunk was surprisingly large.

He pulls up the location of Hope's apartment on his phone and hopes that it's the right location, he would be ridiculously embarrassed to show up to a random person's apartment expecting to see someone else.
