Hope was in the bathroom of her apartment, finishing her makeup for the day, when Awsten walked in.
"How do you do that every day? I think I'd get tired of it pretty quickly," Awsten comments, giving his girlfriend a hug from behind her.
"Well," Hope laughs a little. "I've been doing it for so long, it's just my routine now." She finishes putting on her lip gloss, turning to face Awsten.
"I think you look beautiful without your makeup on," he says, causing Hope to blush. "Do you think you could put some on me?"
Hope's smile turns bright at Awsten's words, "Yeah! Do you want it light?"
"Sure." Awsten sits down
Awsten gets closer to the counter and Hope starts putting the makeup on him.
"Can you make me look like Luke Hemmings?" Awsten asks, showing that he found a little humor in his question by letting out a quick giggle.
"Awsten..I'm good at makeup, but I can't make you look like a different person. Plus, I think I like you better looking like yourself." Hope gives Awsten a hug around his shoulders and gives him a quick kiss on his cheek.
*time skip to the airport*
"I wish I could take you with me," Awsten said softly.
"I do too, but you should also spend time with your family," Hope said, rubbing Awsten's shoulder for comfort.
"Are you going to go to your parents' house?"
Hope sighed, "I am. I just hope that my mom won't try to spark an argument, but she always seems to find the opportunity."
Awsten clenched his jaw, looking at the ground, and thinking back to the times during the tour.
"Oh yeah," Hope let out a quiet and forced laugh, trying to lighten the mood. "I forgot you watched that. Sorry."
"It's alright, if she tries to argue with you, just give me a call. I'd be more than happy to talk to you about it, and just see your face in general."
Hope looks around her, she notices the looks that Awsten and her were getting. There were mixed looks, either curious, confused, or slightly disgusted. What stood out the most was the lack of paparazzi, though neither of them were complaining about it.
The two finally made it to the seating area near the gate.
It wasn't very long until Awsten's row was called to get onto the plane.
They both immediately stood up, Hope's eyes clearly showing the dread of her boyfriend leaving her once more.
Awsten wrapped his arms around Hope's waist in a hug, lifting her up off of the ground and spun around twice.
Then, he quickly leaned down to whisper in Hope's ear, "I'll see you soon, love."
Hope whispered back to him, "I'll miss you." Sadness spilled from her tone.
"I'll miss you too, but I will call you every time I get the chance to, I promise," Awsten said with a smile on his face.
Awsten and Hope let go of each other and Awsten grabs his bag. He slowly walks toward the desk and shows the man his ticket. Awsten looks back at Hope one more time, a timid smile played on his face, then looks forward and walks away.
Hope didn't waste much time staying, she tries to quickly dodge people trying to take pictures of her or asking very personal questions about her.
It wasn't very fun, but she eventually made it out.
*time skip*
After Hope was at her apartment for just fifteen minutes, there was a knock on her door.
She got up from her couch quickly, opening the door to meet eyes with Nicole.
Nicole didn't say anything until she was fully in the apartment, "You need to tell me what you guys did while he was here." Her energy never died down even as she walked from the doorway to the couch, sitting where Hope was before she was there.
Thoughts of the previous day played through Hope's mind, a slight red showing on her face.
Nicole's eyes lit up as she saw her friend's expression. "Oh..my..god, you definitely need to tell me what you guys did right now."
"It was nothing," Hope said quietly, a small, coy smile on her face.
"Hope, if you two fucked, which by your expression right now I'm sure you did, that was not nothing."
"It doesn't matter," Hope drags on her last word.
"And why is that?" Nicole doesn't buy her words one bit.
"'Cause it wasn't the first time...just...better." Hope could feel the regret creeping into her mind, her heart beating slightly faster.
Nicole's jaw was slightly open, "You're kidding...you two have...what? Before? When? How?" She spoke in just one breath, quickly speeding through every word to get an answer.
"Let's not get into that right now, he just left, I didn't want him to. So, can we talk about something else?"
"Alright, um...how about baby names?"
Hope sighed, still finding humor in Nicole's gesture, "Are you implying that you hope Awsten and I have a kid together?"
"I mean, if that's how you want to think about it," Nicole said shyly, obviously guilty.
Hope laughed slightly, "Well, I have had some name ideas, but that was before I met Awsten in the first place. Let alone knew he existed."
"It's genuinely crazy how close you two have gotten in the matter of a couple months. Do you think you guys are going too fast? Are you sure you're ready for what's going to come in the future with you two while Eliza is still going after you on Twitter?"
Hope furrows her eyebrows, "I do think I'm ready, but I also think Eliza just might try to ruin everything. It's pretty clear she won't stop at anything to make my life a living hell."
"Have you talked to Awsten about that?"
Hope sighed, then paused for a couple seconds before talking, "No, I haven't talked to him too much about it. We did for a little bit during the tour, but that's it."
"Well, once you guys see each other in person again, you should definitely talk about it again."
"You're right."
