November 1, 2017

Awsten woke up early again, he had only slept a couple hours and it wasn't worth it to sleep in and be late to pack his things, they have to leave the venue as early as they can.

It was about eight in the morning and he felt pretty productive in the little amount of time that he had been awake.

He gets out of his bunk and immediately goes into the bathroom to change his clothes and brush his teeth.

The one thing that's motivating him to do these things while everyone else is asleep is to see his family again. He's been on tour almost the whole year, he's been on tour in the UK and even on tour with All Time Low and it was his dream that had become a reality.

It's always fun touring, but you have to know when it needs to stop for a little while, after this tour, Awsten's probably going to sleep for a few days straight and won't even wake up for anything.

The jet lag always catches up to Awsten so quickly that he feels like he can fall asleep while he's walking.

Otto's the opposite though. He could tour all year and go home with so much energy that he won't need sleep for another day or two, and even after that, he just needs a regular amount of hours of sleep to be caught up and completely fine.

As much as Awsten hates sleeping in, it feels incredible just to sleep for hours and hours into the afternoon when he's extremely tired.

//

It's a little earlier than Awsten had thought it would be for him to finish packing, and now everyone is up. It's just a little past eleven in the morning and Awsten can feel his legs get weak from tiredness, he just has to stay awake for two more hours, then he can sleep for a whole season.

"Awsten, how come you're ready this early?" Geoff groans, he dramatically drags his feet while he walks back to his bunk to finish putting a few shirts in his suitcase.

"Well, I woke up earlier than you guys, and I'm waiting until I get home to be half asleep because at least then, I can actually sleep for more than four hours." Awsten answers Geoff as he takes all of his packed bags and his suitcase to the door.

"Then I guess you probably won't be going over to Otto's with us tomorrow afternoon, we're just celebrating the tour for double dare."

"I really want to do that, but I'm probably going to sleep all day, maybe we can reschedule that? I don't want to miss it."

"I mean, yeah. It's only us five going to be there so it shouldn't be a problem."

"Okay, thank you. So...I guess this is the end of double dare, huh?"

"Yeah, I mean your hair should be a dead giveaway, right?" Otto points out.

"Shit, I haven't seen what people have been saying about it." Awsten frantically goes over to his phone in his bunk and goes to twitter.

Just the last few days of tour, Awsten had dyed his hair a lavender color of purple for their new album. The name of it hasn't been told yet, but they're going to do that soon, the first thing that should be done is Awsten showing his new hair color. The fans basically call it torture, but it's fun for Awsten to mess with them with these things.

Awsten looks at his phone and he immediately lets out a small laugh. Some people are confused and some others are losing their minds about it. There's also a few that love it and a couple that aren't fans of it, but who cares? Some people aren't always going to like his hair and it doesn't matter to him.

He's got mostly positive responses about it, and everyone he knows absolutely loves it, especially Hope, it's something they can share. He helped her dye her hair and she helped him with his. It's not usual for Awsten to let someone dye his hair for him because he usually just does it himself, but it could be something the two of them could share together.

Awsten had finally got back to his parents' house. After months of no relaxation, it's finally here, and he's more exhausted than he had been on his way here.

He goes to the front door and only knocks twice before the door is swung open and Awsten's mom immediately hugs him with the biggest smile on her face. "You're finally home!" She says excitedly.

"I know! I'm so happy to see you again, but I'm really tired so I think I need to sleep for a couple hours. I'll be down for dinner though so don't worry." Awsten says, he doesn't want to be rude to his mom, but sleep was tempting him and he couldn't wait any longer or he'd fall asleep on the couch.

"Oh right, I'll tell your dad. Gracie should be here in a couple hours to see you." Ginny lets go of Awsten and she lets him walk slowly to his room and he drops his suitcase and bags on the floor.

He immediately falls onto his bed and tries to get comfortable, falling asleep a few minutes after.

//

Awsten wakes up just a few minutes before six o-clock, finding his cat at the end of his bed with him.

Awsten loves Jet to death, he would do anything for her, she's his best friend. He's taken care of her ever since he's got her. Cleaned after her, bathed her, fed her, and played with her. Awsten seems like a child whenever he's having fun with his cat, like he's seven years old again.

He gets out of bed and picks Jet up in his arms, taking her downstairs with him into the living room.

"Looks like someone is finally up." Awsten's dad laughed as he notices Awsten sitting on the couch from the kitchen.

"Hey to you too dad. I'm still super tired, so I'm definitely going to sleep again after I eat. What are you making anyway?" Awsten asks.

"You'll see when it's ready, it's in the oven right now. But how's your friend doing?" Awsten's dad puts quotation marks around friend and Awsten immediately knew he was talking about Hope.

"She's good, back in New York. I haven't talked to her since last night after she got back to her apartment." Awsten tries to say as quickly as he can, but slow enough that he doesn't have to repeat himself. He wants to save himself from embarrassment.

"From what I've seen, she seems like a good person and it looks like you like her. You should ask her out."

"Dad." Awsten says, annoyed. "She lives all the way back in New York, I can't do that."

"So you do want to ask her out! I knew it! Well...your mother thought of it first but I agreed to that idea."

Awsten's face turns a light pink, why did he just say that? He basically admitted to his feelings for Hope and he didn't even think about what was coming out of his mouth. "But it's not like she's ever going to say yes. She lives in a huge city, I bet there's at least fifty people hitting on her every day. Plus, I'm not sure if she even likes me."

Even Awsten couldn't tell if he was lying, him and Hope have done...a lot..that would prove him wrong, but he can't be so sure so soon.

"Sure...now what are you gonna watch?" His father asks.

"I don't know, probably whatever comes on. Are they doing a marathon for the office again? I haven't seen it since a few days before I left."

"Maybe, I think I've seen something about that." He comes to join his son on the couch as Awsten scrolls through the channels to find it, and eventually does.

"Yes! I found it!" Awsten says excitedly.

Awsten clicks the channel onto the office and lets Jet down onto the couch and she lays down next to him.
