Soon after breakfast had ended, the inmates all headed back to their cells under the supervision. After Dina and Vi got back in their cell, the doors shut, as expected.
"You'd think the cells on each floor would be left open between breakfast and dinner for social time..."
Dina pondered, sitting on her bunk
"You are aware this is Stillwater, right? We don't get basic human rights here, the refectory is our social time"
Vi shrugged. As she laid back on her concrete slab, heaving a sigh, Dina tried to examine the inflammation of the stitched up gash on her forehead, seeing as there was no mirror to look in.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you, it could get infected. You don't want to risk that in here"
Vi advised her.

Dina let her hand fall on to her lap before groaning
"It's tender as shit"
She admitted, sighing
"How did you even get those? Did enforcers do that to you?"
Vi questioned, sitting up to engage in conversation as she sat opposite Dina.
"No, I fell"
Dina laughed slightly, embarrassed.
"And you did that? From a fall?"
Vi chuckled in disbelief, baffled at how something like that was possible.
"Well, it was from the top of a building, and I collided with a balcony while trying to break my fall, I can't remember much other than waking up in a pool of my own blood for a few seconds. Then I was in a hospital in custody"
She explained, Vi now understood and believed what she was saying as she leaned closer to Dina, examining her forehead. She was close, close enough to cause Dina to internally panic.
"It seems to be healing okay, just stop touching it"
She advised.

While Vi was close, Dina noticed a scar that struck through her eyebrow and another on her upper lip, despite those scars and some bruising from today's attack, Vi's face looked soft to the touch, for a woman in a prison. Dina's punch didn't help the previous bruising Vi had recieved, and she felt bad for ever hitting her, even if it was the heat of the moment. It was like Vi could read her mind when she noticed where Dina's eyes were fixated.
"Don't worry about it, the whole point of that was to get you to hit me, I wanted to see if you could fight"
She explained, sitting back finally as she rubbed her own cheek, feeling it continue swelling up as she felt it.

Vi suddenly stood up and walked over to Dina's bunk, sitting next to the rosy-cheeked inmate.
"Can I check the wound on the back of your head, Sevika must have done some damage to it"
She asked, Dina simply nodded, grateful that she was getting some help with her wounds, not to mention she would never turn down Vi's request to get closer to her.

Dina turned her back to Vi, allowing her to see the back of her head clearly as she removed the bandage. Vi stood up in order to get a closer view and moved a few strands of Dina's hair out of the way in order to see the wound. Dina closed her eyes, waiting for Vi to talk, but she simply clicked her tongue against the roof of her mouth, almost like she was lost in thought.
"You're lucky, you won't need to seek medical help, but it's obvious where she irritated the area because of how red it is"
Vi said, frustration laced in her voice.

The reasons she was getting frustrated was unknown to Dina but she let that thought fade away quickly when she felt Vi's hand touch her shoulder gently. It must have been some sort of indication she was done examining her wound but her touch made Dina's entire being run cold as she tensed up, hitching a breath.
"How touch-starved am I? Jesus"
Dina mentally kicked herself as she thought
"What?"
Vi asked, raising an eyebrow in confusion. Although when Dina looked at her, horrified, it was clear she heard her
"Did I say something?"
Dina asked, praying that Vi would play dumb
"Yeah, you were mumbling"
Vi smirked, she heard what Dina said clearly but decided not to show it as Dina groaned
"Shit..."
Dina cursed, laying back on her bed, Vi simply stood there and watched, mischevious thoughts entering her mind before she decided not to act on them out of respect. She simply returned to her bunk and left Dina alone with her thoughts, although she could probably already guess what they were.
