Chapter 13

After three weeks of training, Dina had improved her fighting drastically, which was undeniably impressive to Vi. They had planned to meet up at the same time and place as usual as their training lessons were coming to an end, there wasn't much else to teach Dina, all she needed to do was brush up on a few types of punches to inflict maximum damage, and work on her blocking. Which was an issue that Vi still struggled with, so she wasn't shocked when Dina took a few digs to the jaw.

Vi was waiting in their usual spot, but she wasn't waiting for long as Dina rushed into the room. Desperate to get this out of the way so she could go get her food, she was beginning to grow tired of always getting leftovers.
"You're on time for once"
Dina praised
"And you're late, I never thought I'd see the day"
Vi joked, the two stood in the centre of the room, waiting on Vi to begin.
"Today is just going to be a test on your blocking, it's hard to get used to when you're an aggressive person but you need to remember to keep your cool, stop forgetting that your opponent can actually hit back"
Vi lectured, Dina simply nodded in response, ready to begin.
"You do know I go easy on you, right. The last thing we need is you leaving with a black eye and raising suspicions. But it won't be the same for anyone you actually get into a fight with. Your life could literally depend on your ability to block. Cause they won't stop swinging when you go down"

In an attempt to take her by surprise, Vi swung for Dina. Much to her surprise, Dina's arms came up quick enough to block the attack, she wasn't distracted by the lectures. This made Vi smile, feeling proud. They spent about 10 minutes testing Dina's skills, and she never disappointed. Just as Vi went to jab Dina in the nose, she dodged swiftly to the side, sending a counterattack in Vi's direction since she was open. In truth, if it were a real fight, Vi would have dodged rather than making a failed attempt at blocking, but all that mattered was that Dina knew where to attack and how to exploit someone's weakness. And Vi's was her block, Dina knew this.

Dina felt a pride flood her brain, she was happy to see her own improvements. She had come a long way since the outburst Vi caused in the bathroom three weeks ago, and this made her beam with happiness. Before they could continue, the sound of the door's lock clicked, the handle being pushed down as it opened slowly. Before Dina could react, Vi grabbed her, throwing her against the nearest wall, pinning her against it as she smashed her lips against Dina's. Confused and startled, Dina was tempted to pull away, but she lost herself in the moment.

A C.O entered the room, catching Vi and Dina in what he assumed to be a heated moment. But when Vi pulled away from the kiss, she turned to the C.O, pretending to be shocked that they had just been caught.
"You're not supposed to be in here!"
The C.O scolded. Vi stepped away from Dina, holding her hands up in surrender as Dina simply stayed leaned against the wall, beaming red and breathing heavily.
"We were just leaving, boss"
Vi assured the C.O, taking Dina by the hand and leading her out of the room. Dina struggled to walk normally for a moment while she composed herself, her knees were weak with shock and a little bit of arousal. The whole thing was so sudden and she couldn't wrap her head around it.

The main thought rushing through her head was how soft Vi's lips were in that brief kiss, her natural scent filled Dina's nose in that moment and it was intoxicating, she couldn't hide the blush that flooded her cheeks. As they walked, Vi noticed the change in Dina's complexion, but by the time they reached in refectory, Dina had finally come back to reality, even if she was still speechless. They grabbed their food and sat down at their usual spot, but before they could start eating, Dina finally spoke in a hushed tone.
"What was that?!"
She exclaimed quietly, trying not to attract the attention of the other inmates
"If he had saw us in the middle of a fight. We would both be getting our asses beat right now. That was the best way to get out of that situation!"
Vi defended
"You couldn't have just been consoling a friend? You thought making a move on me was the best play?!"
Dina questioned, confused.
"It was too quick, I didn't have time to think through 10 different plans!"
Vi explained.

Vi let out an exasperated sigh before shoving food into her mouth. But when Dina looked up at her, she noticed that Vi's ears were beaming red, the same way her own cheeks were. This alone told a thousand tales, but none of which were possibly true.
