It had been a few hours now, and Dina was just finishing up her dinner, but Vi was nowhere to be seen, the last time she saw her was when everyone was heading to the refectory for the second time today, and she just disappeared in the crowd. Dina began to worry, given what happened earlier that morning, she was paranoid at the possibility of it happening again as she ate.
Suddenly, as took her last spoonful, ready to look for Vi. The same pink-haired inmate walked over to the bench from behind Dina, sitting in the chair next to her.
"I found a spot"
She said simply
"Hello to you too... What for?"
Dina responded before taking a sip of her water.
"For your training, I'm not letting you do any work without being prepared"
Dina nodded, finally looking at Vi after being focused on the people around them since Vi got here.
"Okay, where?"
"You know the room those guys tried to jump me in? That's the place, it's got enough room and the C.O's don't check it often, if we go after dinner, they'll be having their own lunches and won't notice us"
This plan of Vi's seemed pretty foolproof, but one thing that confused Dina was why Vi was doing this.
What does Vi get out of helping Dina? Probably nothing worthwhile except from an ego boost when Dina becomes successful at her work.
"Have you had any food?"
Dina asked, Vi simply chuckled at Dina's concern
"Yes, mother. I got stuff at the comissary"
Vi joked before standing up from the metal stool she had been sat on.
"So, do you want to start tomorrow?"
Vi asked, seeming somewhat excited for Dina's answer.
"Sure, when lunch starts?"
Vi nodded in response before taking off, leaving Dina with her empty tray as she went to go talk with other inmates, it's not a shock that Vi is popular in here, after building a reputation of being a badass.

The day after, Dina made her way to meet Vi as soon as they went their seperate ways because Vi had some business to take care of. After waiting a good ten minutes or so for Vi to show up for their training session, she still wasn't there. Dina let out a sigh of disappointment, assuming she wasn't going to turn up. As she turned around to leave, the door clicked open quietly, and Vi snuck in, extremely cautious about getting caught.
"You took your time"
Dina said, leaning on one foot with her arms crossed
"Yeah, sorry about that"
Vi apologised, making her way to the centre of the room.
"Just so you're aware, I'm not going to go easy on you just because you're learning"
Vi said, gesturing Dina to join her in the centre.
"That's good then, I won't feel bad about hurting you"
Dina joked, Vi gave a toothy smile, approving of Dina's sense of humour.
The inmates both began training, but remained cautious of anyone who might enter. Dina knew this would be taxing on her body the more she trained with Vi, but there were only benefits from doing so.
