"Can you stop staring at her like that? You're making her nervous." Terra growls quietly trying to be discreet but I've heard her anyways and Iselen blinks coming back to reality, straightening her back and moving away from the wall she was leaning on.
"I'm sorry," she whispers pouting although it's pretty obvious she's not sorry at all. The werewolf turns around rolling her eyes hard and the vampire smirks mischievously, winking at me. We both follow Terra through the door, going downstairs and dodging the white marble fountain in the middle of the garden.
The truth is that I was feeling awkward given that Iselen has been watching me closely since last night, her eyes travelled all over my face and neck, stopping on some of my tattoos while licking her lips and I my cheeks turned red. I don't know if she wants to try my blood... or she wants to try other things... and it makes me feel nervous but, to be honest, not as horrified as I should be. I should be worried because a vampire is obsessed with my sweet and delicious blood, but it makes me feel proud and flattered instead... I should also feel worried because the same vampire is fantasizing about biting my neck after enjoying a long night of wild sex with me and her friend, a werewolf, to be precise... but it makes me feel hot and I don't understand why. I admit I like Iselen more since she's been kind and well-mannered, she's not making fun of me constantly now and we don't argue every time we have a conversation... But there's a big step between behaving like civilized women and enjoying a threesome with two supernatural creatures with sharp fangs.
Terra doesn't look happy with Iselen's new attitude and I don't know if she's disappointed because I'm human definitely, and yet, I was able to cross the magical fence inexplicably, or maybe she's jealous. I know they both insist that they're friends but I'm sure there's something else and they have feelings for each other, only they're too cautious or blind to admit it openly. Maybe the wolf thinks I'm getting between the vampire and her... I can't help shuddering and crossing my arms over my chest: Terra has been really kind to me since I arrived, more empathetic and less brazen than Iselen, but something tells me that I don't want to have her as an enemy. I'm pretty sure she's terrifying when she's furious and I still remember how big that black wolf was when she turned in front of me.
In fact, Terra insisted that I should stay in the Wind Rose while they were going to visit that strange hermit wizard but I refused, this concerns me and I want to know why I'm here. I'm not a stupid human anymore, one of those who don't know about the creatures living in this world instead of living in fairy tales and legends: I won't let a grumpy and jealous wolf leave me in the dark. I had to leave my dogs with Raven and Maeve, despite Ru was barking like crazy and wanted to follow me, because Elric lives in some kind of rocky slope where several caves are located and we'll need to climb a little, maybe, but Iselen promised to help me... wiggling her eyebrows with a naughty grin playing on her lips that made butterflies flutter in my stomach. Damn it, what's wrong with me?
I don't have time for this, I shouldn't be thinking about the possibility of accepting her proposition, I should be drawing up a plan to escape from this mad house and get my life back instead of having wet dreams with a wolf and a bloodsucker. I don't understand why I'm not scared to death, honestly. Quite the opposite, I feel really comfortable living in the Wind Rose, I sleep very well far away from the pressure of Hollywood and the paparazzi harassment, I've met fascinating people and really like them, the house is amazing and full of surprises, food is delicious and the garden is perfect to go for a walk. It's like being on a vacation at a fancy hotel only surrounded by witches, demons and fairies... Seriously, why am I not going crazy yet?
I haven't found an answer to my questions half an hour later but we've reached a steep slope covered with rocks and bushes. Terra stares at Iselen raising an eyebrow but the vampire remains still and quiet obstinately, waiting for the werewolf to lead the way, and the beautiful blue-eyed brunette clicks her tongue, upset, although she turns around and starts climbing up finally. The vampire gestures at me telling me to go ahead smiling smugly and I obey, puzzled, till I hear her walking behind me and feel her eyes fixed on my butt. I think she's ready to give me a hand, like she promised, but I won't let this shameless woman get her way.
