Iselen turns around suddenly, her eyes rake all over my body to check if I'm okay and exactly where she left me some minutes ago: sitting on a wicker chair with white pillows sipping at a cocktail that Maeve poured for me, my dogs are lying at my feet, fairies flutter around me lighting up this corner of the winter garden softly, Alfonso and his friends are near and don't allow anyone to get close to me. The vampire nods satisfied and looks back at the garden and forest, leaning on the doorframe casually while watching the magical creatures that are arriving to the Wind Rose.

The truth is that they've managed to hold a good party in a little time and, even if they had help and the two women that have turned my world upside down are really strong, they've worked hard cleaning this building, getting rooms ready and making delicious food during the last two days. They both collapsed in bed and slept soundly every morning, although they insisted on hugging me between their bodies, and Terra used to wake up early in the evening to make a good breakfast before the vampire came to the kitchen ready to work hard again. I was getting used to the nocturnal schedule, as she said, and didn't have much time to think while helping them as much as I could.

The winter garden looks beautiful full of plants while the evening sun pours in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, it looks like a massive greenhouse with a pool in the middle and several groups of wicker chairs and couches scattered around to have a nice conversation and drink tea. It's a gorgeous room, comfortable and with a relaxed atmosphere despite it's full of witches, fairies, pixies, werewolves, sorcerers, vampires, Raven's sister, ghosts floating over the pool, a mermaid splashing with her tail while laughing at something a centaur is telling her and a couple of Indian shamans are levitating over the food on the table. I would've thought this was weird weeks ago...

My biggest concern right now should be the fact that I'm the key that opens the gates of hell, the same reason why they're all looking at me out of the corner of their eyes with curiosity, although no one dares to get closer to ask questions because they know Iselen would rip their heads off... She stated it clearly after greeting them at the door, checking their magical credentials before letting them in: she's been working with Terra strengthening security measures so no demon can ruin this meeting. And yet, she looks back over her shoulder nonstop to make sure I'm still here, comfortable and calmed.

The werewolf is running around checking if all the guests have a drink in their hands and there's delicious food on every table, helped by Lea and Zara. Plates full of colorful vegan canapes are piling up on the coffee table in front of me, every time a tray comes out of the kitchen, Terra insists on bringing me a couple of bites to try them but I'm not hungry and my dogs have gobbled a handful of them discreetly so the beautiful blue-eyed brunette thinks I've eaten. Maeve sticks her head through the kitchen door and realizes that her mini pizzas have almost vanished before going back looking for more.

I lean back on my seat wondering what my new bodyguards would think, the necromancers, the druid, the witches, the vampire and werewolf, if they knew that I'm not particularly worried about being the Key of Hell and the fact that I'll be introduced to a bunch of magical creatures coming from all over the world... Because I'm falling hard for Iselen and Terra and the consequences that a relationship with these two stunning women can have for me in the long-term would be serious, more serious than a group of crazy demons chasing me. Because ultimately, if the catch me and kill me... it'll be over, I won't need to worry about the future anymore.

Everything goes too fast, even for me and I'm used to fall in love in the blink of an eye: I went from feeling terrified to hate Iselen and, suddenly, I was in her bed and the werewolf was with us. I still don't understand how this happened, those different moments of my life seemed to make sense these past 10 days while I was living them, but if I stop and think about it... it's crazy. And they look so calmed, like they have threesomes with humans frequently, although I know that's not true, and so happy because they fixed their problems and admitted that they love each other. Tension between Terra and Iselen has vanished and that's great, I'm happy for them, but I don't know how I fit into the grand scheme. Oh yes, sex is amazing and they make me feel safe, protected in spite of all, the werewolf is adorable and the vampire really funny... but I have a life out of this house and must go back to it.
