REASONS • TAEGYU

Taehyun was hopeless, when he thought that Beomgyu already showed a hint towards him, he was wrong. He still maybe had a long way to go—

It's been a week, of no calls nor text. Of course why would Beomgyu call or text him anyway, they're just friends, barely knew actually.  Maybe because the older doesn't trusted Taehyun at all.

Probably, Beomgyu was busy... but Taehyun know those things. He knows that Beomgyu was busy looking after Kai on his practices, He knows that Beomgyu spend lots of time with his bestfriend. He would lie if he said it wasn't jealousy, but what can Taehyun do? he cannot just barge in and threw a tantrum. And most importantly, he cannot say the truth.

Or maybe he can, he just need to took the courage to do it.

Standing a bit far from the skate grounds, he saw beomgyu loudly cheering the younger on the track. Beomgyu seem so happy, his eyes was visible and there's no lie on it.

Taehyun took his steps and breathe heavily, a bit talking to himself "Just speak casually" 

Reaching the Bench he slowly slide himself and spoke in a nice way, "Hi!"

Beomgyu jump from his seat when he saw Taehyun beside him, he didn't notice the presence but he gladly took the younger's accompany well.

"Oh! Taehyun, It's nice to see you again" ....And there's an awkward silence "Ah..what brings you here?"

Then Taehyun knew he was doomed, lies are coming inside his head, " Oh, I- I miss– I missed the bus so I just passed here to rest for a bit, and in hopes of seeing you since you mentioned that you always join kai on his practice...right?"

Taehyun said nervously and The older just smile on his words. "Oh really? ah..It's been a week, I thought you'll keep in touch with me, i was upset.." Beomgyu jokingly said making Taehyun's tongue stick out to rap bunch of words.

"But..It's you who didn't text me, and i wasn't sure if i should text you because you maybe find it uncomfortable"  Taehyun defended making Beomgyu laugh.

"My bad, I was handling a serious matter in life these past few days. But I'm okay now, Kai help me" Beomgyu stated, eyes gazing back again on the male who's showing his wonderful skills on the track.

Taehyun felt that jealousy again, and stare at Beomgyu deeply, "Those loving eyes where used to be that bright when you met mine. But now..."

"Both of you seem pretty close huh" Taehyun swallowed his words and release a fake laugh.

Beomgyu know what Taehyun is trying to imply, and he also know that Taehyun lied to him in the first place. Beomgyu didn't text him on purpose, because he wants something from Taehyun, but it seems that the male is holding back to give him an answer.

"Oh, yes we are."  Beomgyu said calmly and he heard a soft sigh from the younger, but still his face was showing a soft smile.

The two stayed together at the bench, building some casual talks and a bit of conversation to digest. Until Beomgyu's mind was already filled with questions.

At the first place, He knew that something was going on. First, He never felt so much affection with a person, particularly a stranger. Second, he really found Taehyun suspicious and that's what he was very curious about.

People would freak out if someone barged in their life and said they love or had this type of feelings for you without actually meeting them on the first place. Another, stalking is a bit NO. However, Beomgyu made it all slide and accept Taehyun as a new friend, he don't know why but it just feel so right whenever he do something in favor to the younger.

"Hyung.." Taehyun softly said breaking the silence. "hmm?" Beomgyu now directly look at him in the eye, almost pleading him to give in and tell the truth.

"I– like to tell you som—"

"Omg! You must be Taehyun!" Beomgyu and Taehyun got shocked from the voice that appears suddenly on their back. It's Hueningkai.

"Thanks for today Beom! nice meeting you too Taehyun-ssi!"

Hueningkai send a big warm wave of farewell, taking his skateboard towards home. And now it leads the both male alone on the bus stop, waiting for a ride.

Apparently, Taehyun's tongue was twisted earlier, he cannot say a thing. Maybe because he wants to tell it solely to Beomgyu, or it's just.....his heart is not yet ready.

"I guess this is my bus! It's so nice to meet you again Taehyun..." Beomgyu stated softly but Taehyun doesn't want to let the older yet too.

"C-, Can I take you home...No I'm not taking you in my home, what I mean is can I accompany you until you got home?" Taehyun said literary fighting with his words which makes Beomgyu release a loud chuckle.

Finally, he had saw that genuine laugh. After years or imaginary years rather, he made his beomie laugh with him again.

"You're funny and sweet" Beomgyu hold his stomach still laughing but he quickly calm down after seeing the embarrassment in Taehyun's face. "okay now lover boy, take me home"

Taehyun and Beomgyu hop on the bus. They're the first passenger, so they sit next to each other. On the bus, it's kinda pretty boring, and non of the two of them mind to start a conversation.

Until Taehyun pulled out his earphones and played a music. He hum softly as he stare outside of the glass pane, enjoying the view and the warm presence beside him.

"What are you listening?" Beomgyu tried to question, a bit silly of him, Taehyun's earphones were louder than his voice.

Beomgyu playfully grab one of the earplug and place it into his ear. The moment he put it in, a new music from Taehyun's queue played.

" I love this song! " Beomgyu said making Taehyun look directly on him. And for a hundred times of this book, Taehyun had stated, "He was the same, He's still the Beom I loved and will love for countless futures I would had"

Taehyun remove the remaining plug on his ear, leaning closer to Beomgyu's face. He directly look at the older's eye in much adoration and love, that even Beomgyu can feel the sincerity on it.

Beomgyu was captivated, heart was jumping back and forth, and his stomach were like giving birth to butterflies. He don't know what kind of feeling is this, but one thing is sure, he's lost and about to—

'But I can't help'

Taehyun's hand move Beomgyu's hair back, staring deeply on Beomgyu profiles. Carefully, he place the remaining earplug on Beomgyu's ear to complete. And with that final loving stare, he mouthed the last line of the song.
