CHAPTER THIRTY
a very merry christmas.

Christmas wasn't the prettiest nor the merriest or the jolliest. For the past two days, Hwa Young had been sleeping on an air mattress in the master bedroom, her luggage against the bare walls, and her fiancée sleeping in the 'office'. She's been ignoring him, the sole reason being she was stubborn and she was still annoyed of their situation.

It was immature to be salty, and prickly on a day like this however, Renjun still had no clue what he had done which pissed her off even more.

The one thing that ruined it the most was, Christmas wasn't gonna be good. She's bought his gift, and had it placed someone with another's help but she didn't know if she even wanted to gift him anymore. Their house was still bare, with no decorations, tree or stockings, her family hadn't invited her over or his— saying it was best they spend christmas as an engaged couple. And honestly, she hasn't been feeling the most festive from all changes that have been rapidly hitting her in a span of a month.

Hell, if you told her three months ago that she'd be sleeping on an air mattress on the second floor of her new home with a rock on her finger, and now a dent in her wallet— she'd laugh her ass off and tell you you're insane and that she was a teacher for crying out loud.

Interrupting her morning reflection of whether she wanted to wallow in her emotions or escape to a cafe nearby, someone knocked on her room door. Before she could deny his entrance, Renjun had already opened it— revealing himself in a pair of cliche plaid pajama pants and the couple matching christmas sweater saying 'I'm her's' that his secretary dropped off the day prior.

With squinted eyes, Hwa Young watched as the male waddled into the room and towards her sweater that sat on her luggage. He quickly picked it up and chucked it on her blanketed stomach. "Put this on, and close your eyes,"
