CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE a fool, that's what you are.
Nonchalantly, Donghyuck typed in the passcode to his boss' penthouse, and walked inside as if it was his own home. The brunette kicked off his dress shoes, and patted down his usual work uniform, that consisted of a fitted suit.
It was a normal Monday as always, running errands as early as 6 am, and having to do god knows what for who knows what.
Today was no different as the secretary held multiple bags in his arms— which had come from multiple department stores, picked with precision to Renjun's very strict instructions. It was an odd request, but Donghyuck had no reason to doubt his boss, as he knew these days the man was too unpredictable to even guess anymore.
The once workaholic that loved being cooped up in his brooding, charcoal office was now skipping meetings, leaving work early and even clearing his schedules for the weekend.
It was quite the best and oddest thing ever. Donghyuck, as much as he would like to trust the sudden and spontaneous change, couldn't shake the uncertainty that gnawed at him.
"Renjun, I got what you asked for!" He announced his presence, walking into the open and spacious living room of the man he worked for. He rounded the large couch and stood in front of the pair who sat comfortably with mugs of coffee in their hands— one being startled at the sudden presence of a new, and oddly familiar person.
"Who is he?" Hwa Young whispered, scooting closer to Renjun. The raven, who had already rested his left hand atop his couch had smoothly lowered his arm onto her shoulders— side-hugging her who had subconsciously leaned further into his warmth to escape the morning chill.
