CHAPTER THREE
saturday turns a corner.

Flopping down tiredly onto her twin bed mattress, Hwa Young stared up at her Goshiwon room's ceiling. She thought back to the odd events of the night, remembering the familiar curve of his smile, then nostalgic record of his laugh, and the sudden question of being asked to be married to a man she hasn't seen in 10 long years.

As much as she tried to not think about it, her mind continuously followed back into a loop of getting back to where she started. Thinking about Huang Renjun. Who unbelievably was a chief executive officer.

All of their youth, Hwa Young seemed to be the more fortunate person in their friendship.

She'd always buy him snacks and meals at the convenience store, never went over to his house as he said it wasn't much, and even had to cover him for some of his school dues that one high school year.

Hwa Young felt around at her left, going towards her bedside table where she picked up the business card. Immediately as she touched the expensive material, she lifted above her eyes and reread the contents for the millionth time.

If his company was Huang Group, that must've meant it was a family business, right?

Was he rich all this time? And never trusted her with the secret? Did he use her in high school?

Feelings of betrayal, frustration and complete confusion enveloped Hwa Young's body.

But those strong feelings were completely dismissed once she shook her head and told herself no. "I'm not going to see him," Why should she care if she wasn't seeing his dumb, stupid, annoying, handsome face again.
