CHAPTER ELEVEN the rink for two.
Having already waved goodbye to Jaemin, and the male walking away after having a once-over at Renjun, Hwa Young briskly walked to the passenger side of the car and slid into her seat. As she closed the door, Renjun smiled cheekily. "You look pretty," He complimented, though his affectionate words weren't very appreciated at the moment.
"Why are you like this?" The raven woman turned to look at the other, her eyes narrowed with a heavy glare darkening her orbs.
Playing the innocent card, Renjun shrugged nonchalantly. "Like what?" Without another thought, he pulled out of the parking lot, and began to drive onto the main road. He briefly glanced at the heated woman, his eyes flickering to her upper body. "Seatbelt, doll,"
Subconsciously, Hwa Young listened, her hands moving to buckle herself in, though her mouth moved to his previous question. "Like, i don't know a jealous fiancée?" She accused, frustration evident in her forced tone.
Renjun kept his eyes on the road— feeling her eyes burn into the skin of his cheek. "Because I am a jealous fiancée," He answered, honesty being all too familiar with his tongue.
Immediately, the Kwon's cheeks went ablaze. She has yet to get used to the word, especially this whole contractional relationship she had avoided to acknowledge. Her lips pursed into a thin line, and she muttered out a quick "Don't say things like that,"
Halting at a sudden red light, Renjun took the opportunity to look in her direction. He noticed that she had finally stopped looking at him— causing a tinge in his heart. Instead, she stared forward at the nearly empty road, arms crossed over her chest. "Why?" He questioned, glancing over her change of attitude.
