That if you decide
To lay down your heart
And put it all on the line
I won't let it shatter,"

CHAPTER FORTY-ONE
his garden.

The couple stood at their open front door, Hwa Young bundled up in a spare blanket as she leant against the frame with Renjun standing behind her— both waving goodbye to their friend. "Goodnight, Hyuck," She greeted, a warm smile plastered to her pink lips.

Walking backwards to his car, the pair could catch the male rolling his eyes playfully. "Go to sleep early, huh," He reminded them, wagging a finger in the air. "No bedtime tango,"

Immediately at the mention of sex, Renjun and Hwa Young froze up like school children caught doing something improper. Their cheeks flushed a dark red and their throats constricted— forcing out a cough of embarrassment.

Hyuck chuckled at their reactions. He shook his head whilst unlocking his vehicle, still keeping tabs on the two.

Renjun cleared his throat once more, and shot his secretary a piercing glare. "Can you just leave quietly without any remarks?" He huffed to which the latter responded with a smug shrug.

With another chuckle, Donghyuck opened the door to the driver's seat and waved his last goodbye. "Kay, i'll leave you two alone, night!"

Finally, the long awaited sound of the door shutting, met their ears and the two padded their way back into their home.

Renjun lead the way back to the open living room, stopping abruptly to face his fiancé. He looked at her cozied figure, standing there as she cutely yawned. And for a second, he felt his heart race at the adorable sight.

The corners of his lips quirked up, just slightly, though Hwa Young could still notice the small smile that appeared. Her own heart began to run, as if she was amidst a marathon.

"Go on to bed, I can clean up," The Huang spoke softly as his hand reached up to her face.

Instinctively, the woman fluttered her eyes closed. She felt him brush back a strand of her hair behind her ear. She sucked in a breath at his warm touch.

Unaware to her, he glossed over her tired features, taking hint of the sunken angle of her eyes and the way her lips curved up the slightest at a warm touch of a palm.

As he retracted his hand, her eye lids lifted. Their orbs met for the thousandth time that night, yet her stomach had the same reaction every time; butterflies. "You sure? We can do it together?" She suggested in a whispery tone.

Without noticing, Renjun licked his bottom lip, moisturizing the flesh teasingly; though he wasn't aware of its effect. "You're tired, Hwa. Let me take care of it," Hwa Young knew he was speaking, but she could only watch his lips move. The noise of his voice was vague to her hypnotized state.

It was as if she was in a trance. Tingles rushed up her spine at a singular thought that crossed her mind. It caused her to bite her tongue, scolding her brain quietly. "Okay, goodnight Jun," She greeted just above a whisper, her breathy tone igniting a spark within the other.

"Night, sweetheart," Renjun replied his eyes hooded and voice suddenly drained with restraint. He watched silently as she turned on her bare feet and padded her way down the corridor, turning sharply after to escape from his following orbs. As the piece of her disappeared from his sight, the male tiredly brought a hand to his forehead.

He rested his palm atop the skin, and felt the very warmth that had spread all across his face. Naturally, his lashes fluttered down with his lids, as he soothingly tan his fingers through the locks of his dark messy hair.

Renjun sighed deeply at the feeling, his chest raising and falling noticeably. "God," He chuckled lowly as his hand dropped from his head to his side, roughly hitting his hip. Feeling something bubble within him and itch at his throat, the male tilted his head back and let out another hefty breath of air. "She's gorgeous,"

He had always adored flowers and believed they were the prettiest things to have existed, but they would never, ever compare to the garden of Kwon Hwa Young.
