CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX
sharp as a dull dagger.

"They liked you, a lot," Jaemin chuckled, brushing back his strawberry blonde hair as he walked Hwa Young to the front of the school. Her interview had just finished, and the woman was lucky enough to have both the man and his father part of the Interviewer board.

Her nervous nature has dimmed down the slightest from knowing at least two of the four individuals. However, as they reflected back to the shared hour they had together, the Kwon couldn't help but feel anxious.

"I don't know. I was pretty nervous and made a plenty of mistakes," She muttered, as she walked through the glass door Jaemin held open for her. "Thank you,"

The Na nodded before exiting after her. "You're just being too hard on yourself. Look on the bright side, they complimented you quite a bit," He reminded, and it wasn't far from a lie. The board had showered her in many compliments after she had spoken about her current job and accomplishments.

"It's just your dad and them being nice,"

They stopped at the top of the stairs, facing one another. Jaemin shook his head and grinned, she was still the same he thought. "You're gonna get this position, Hwa, you did amazing," He affirmed her, causing the woman to smile tinily as well.

"If you say so," She whispered, tilting her head up to look him in the eyes.

"I mean, there's no one better to be a homeroom and literature teacher than you,"

"I still can't believe it's the subject I wanted,"

"Miracles do happen, y'know," He laughed, and the woman smiled wider. "Oh I was wondering about that man from the last time we met," Hwa Young immediately froze at the mention of that night— her cheeks flaring with a burning sensation in embarrassment.
