Time to Move On?
Althea’s POV
Pababa pa lang ako para magbreakfast nang-
“Justin.”
Lumapit siya sa akin. “I’m sorry I cant be here last night.”
“That’s ok. Don’t worry.”
“Mukha namang di mo ko hinanap.”
“Sorry. Napagod lang.”
“Saan??? Thea naman don’t say anything like that to me. I’m hurt.” He smiled playfully at me.
Then I know kung ano yung iniisip niya. “Justin Greene!!!!” Bigla siyang yumuko na parang napagalitang bata. He’ll do that when I’m angry.
“Sorry na. I don’t mean it. Isa pa nahihiya ka pa, youre married already.”
“Because I don’t do it.”
“Ok ok let it be.”
“So why are you here?”
“Nothing. I just want to see you ine last time, before I let you go… completely.” He stared at me for minute. “ Then “I think that’s fine. Now, you’re free from my love.” Sabi niya na pabiro. I smiled at him. Then hugged him.
“Thank you, for loving me. I hope you’ll find the girl that will love you.”
“I think I found her.” Humiwalay ako sa kanya.
“What?”
“But I think it’s too late.”
“Why?”
“She left, because…”
“Of me? Justin..”
“It not you, its me.”
“Where?”
“Where?”
“Where is she?”
“She’ll leave for Europe today.”
“Then go. Make her feel that you love her. Don’t make the same mistake like I did. I’m afraid. Afraid to admit that I still…”
“Love him? I know that long time ago.”
“Please. Go now. Pag hinayaan mo siyang umalis mawawala na siya ng tuluyan.” I held his hands. “Look justin. My parents love each other till the end, but me? I don’t gave much time loving them, and now I cant show it to my Dad, because… because he’s gone. Don’t be like me. Go to her.” Bigla siyang tumigin sa mga mata ko na parang may narealize. “Do you love her?”
“I.. I don’t know.”
“You know what you feel even from the start, you just don’t want to admit it because your too dependt in the past. And I’m sorry about it.” Bigla na lang niya kong hinalikan sa pisngi at mabilis na tumakbo palayo.
“Thank you Thea. I know what I need to do. Thank you!!!” Nakaliko na siya papunta ng pintuan ng makita kong bumalik siya. “I think you have the answer to be happy. You changed, you look sad even when you smile. I don’t want that. So please make it up to him. Don’t look back at the past anymore. Forget everything and fight with him to ease the burden. ” I smile at him.
“I know…Just go. Faster!”
“Bye!!!! Best Friend!!!”
Then he left. I just laugh silently on what I say. I gave an advice… advice that even me don’t follow.
