Time to Give Up
Althea’s POV
There are time that we need to let go, person that we can hurt. Now, I’m giving up on him. Beside him, I have things to protect. The company, and Nadine. I need to find her Mother. Cole is back. But he failed to bring her back.
“Am I late?” para silang nakakita ng multo. Tumingin ako kay Yuan. It’s been awhile. “Let’s start the meeting,”
Agad namang may nagpresent. It’s about a new project development. At kailangan ng relocation.
“Why dont we give them compensation.” Me
“They are illegal settlers.” Yuan
“What do you think?” Hindi ako tumitingin kay Yuan.
“Are you listening? Hindi tayo magbibigay sa kanila.” Hindi makapagsalita ang mga board members. Nakikita kong naguguluhan sila sa nangyayari. Dahil kaming dalawa, na magasawa ay nagaaway. Tumayo ako.
“This is my company.” I looked at Yuan. Naglakad ako papunta sa harap. Tumango ako kay Gab. “I would like to share a story.”

Nagulat sila, They even told me that it’s dangerous.
“They have their own family. Family that they love and family that they have to protect. Why don’t we give some for them right?”
“It’s not a donation Althea.”
“Good. Yuan since you mention that, I will donate. May tinanggap akong photoshoot for some of our products. And that money, I will used to compensate. And if someone here want to help me. Please do.” Tinignan ko silang lahat. And the light lit up. “That’s the end. Meeting’s adjourned.”
Then lumabas na lahat ng board members. Naiwan kami ni Toby, Yuan at Gab. Gab is discussing some project to me. Nakatingin lang sila sa akin. Pagkatapos nun,
“You don’t have any idea what are you doing? And you Gab.”
“Don’t worry Yuan. This is my fault.” Tumingin ako kay Toby. “Let’s go for lunch. Gutom na ko.” Then kay Yuan. “You want to come.” Tumayo lang siya at lumabas.
“Are you okay ate?”
“Of course. Let’s go.”
Dumaan ang mga araw, I do all the photoshoot and works in the company. Nakakapagod but I can’t stop. Bumili din ako ng condo malapit sa opisina. Sabi nila Tita at Mommy I can sleep in their house, pero ayokong mag-alala sila sa akin. Si Mamcy naman kay Tita Mina na nakatira.
