Chapter 22: Mission

Y/N's POV

So, we are now on our way to the location of the Lemurian Star.

Rumlow who is the leader of the S.T.R.I.K.E team is going over what's going on.

Rumlow: The target is a mobile satellite launch platform, the Lemurian star. They were sending up their last payload when pirates took them. Ninety-three minutes ago.

Y/N: Any demands?

Rumlow: Billion and a half.

Steve: Why so steep?

Rumlow: Because it's S.H.I.E.L.D's.

Steve: So, it's not of course, it's trespassing.

Natasha: I'm sure they had a good reason.

Steve: You know, I'm getting tired of being Fury's janitor.

Y/N: Me too. I didn't sign up for this.

Natasha: Relax, you two. It's not that complicated.

Steve: How many pirates?

Rumlow: Twenty-five. Top mercy. Led by George Batroc, Ex-DGSE. Action Division. He's at the top of Interpol's Red Notice. Before the French demobilized him. He had thirty six kill missions. This guys got a rep for maximum casualties.

Y/N: Hostages?

Rumlow: Oh, mostly techs. One officer. Jasper Sitwell. There in the Galley.

Steve: What's Sitwell doing on a launch ship? All right, Spider-Man and I will sweep the deck and find Batroc. Nat, you kill the engines and wait for instructions. Rumlow, you sweet aft, find the hostages. Get them to the life-pods, get them out. Let's move.

Rumlow: S.T.R.I.K.E. You heard the captain. Gear up.

Steve: Secure channel seven.

Natasha: Seven secure. Did you do anything fun Saturday?

Steve: Well, all the guys from my barbershop quartet are dead, so, no, not really.

Man-pilot: Coming up on the drop zone, Captain?

Natasha: You know, if you ask Kristen out, from statistics, she'd probably say yes.

Cap then hits a button that lowered the ramp.

Steve: That's why I don't ask.

Natasha: Too shy, or too scared?

Steve: Too busy!

Cap then jumps out of the quinjet.

S.T.R.I.K.E. Memeber: Was he wearing a parachute?

Rumlow smiles.

Rumlow: No. No. he wasn't.

Y/N: Awesome.

S.T.R.I.K.E Member: Who are you anyway?

I turn and look back at the S.T,R.I.K.E member.

Y/N: You heard the Captain, I'm the Amazing Spider-Man.

Then I spin around and dive out of the quinjet.

When I get closer to the water, I use my webs to create a parachute so I can slow myself down.

Then when I make it to the ship, I let go and stick to the side of the ship. Then I see Cap climbing over the chain.

He and I then get onto the ship.

Steve: Okay, kid. You take that way, I'll go this way. We'll meet in the middle.

Y/N: Yes sir.

I salute Steve.

He then chuckles.

Steve: Don't salute.

Y/N: Sorry.

Steve: Go.

I then start running and I take down all the guards that come my way.

I then keep taking down the guards by using my webs to web them to the ground or wall, and I also kick some of them down.

I then run just as I see Rumlow stop a man from shooting Steve and then I jump down to them.

Steve: You all right, kid?

Y/N: Yeah, you?

Steve: Great.

Then we turn and see Nat and the rest of the S.T.R.I.K.E. team come down with parachutes.

Natasha lands and then the three of us start walking.

Natasha: What about that nurse that lives across the hall from you? She seems kind of nice.

Steve: Secure the engine room, then find me a date.

Natasha: I'm multitasking.

Y/N: (whispers) Or you two could date.

Nat looks at me.

Natasha: Did you say something?

I shake my head.

Y/N: Nope.

Nat then jumped over the railing.

Then as Rumlow and the S.T.R.I.K.E  we're saving the hostages, Cap and I then went to look for Batroc.

Steve and Batroc then had a fight which was awesome seeing Captain America actually in person fighting someone.

The fight then ended with Steve tackling Batroc through a door where we see Natasha.

Steve: What are you doing?

Steve and I go over to her.

Natasha: Backing up the hard drive. It's a good habit to get into.

Steve: Rumlow needed your help. What the hell are you doing here?

Steve and I see the computer and see that she was saving S.H.I.E.L.D. Intel.

Steve: Your saving S.H.I.E.L.D. Intel.

Natasha: Whatever I can get my hands on.

Steve: Our mission is to rescue hostages.

Natasha: No, that's yours and Y/N's mission...

She takes a flash drive out of the computer and then she looks at Steve and I.

Natasha: And you both have done it beautifully.

She starts to walk but Steve grabs her arm.

Steve: You just jeopardized this whole operation.

Natasha: I think that's overstating things.

Then as we are getting ready to leave, Batroc throws a grenade our way and Nat and Steve jump through a window and I jump immediately after them.

We then all lean up against the wall and I take my mask off.

Y/N: Whoa

Natasha: Okay, that's on me.

Steve: You're damn right.

Cap then stands up and holds his hand out.

Steve: Let's go, kid.

I take his hand and he helps me up and we start walking.

Y/N: What just happened?

Steve: We weren't told everything.

Then as Steve and I leave, Natasha follows behind us and then we get on the quinjet and we go back to Washington.
